Lots of Questions on Verizon Fios!!
For those who have it....
1) In general, how do you like it?
2) How much are you paying for it a month / what was included in your "deal"?
3) Those who were promised TVs or giftcards - how long did you have to wait to get it? Did you finally get it?
4) Did you experience any technical problems with your home security alarm, computer, TV connection,etc?
5) Is there anything you have to mention special that will get you more money off or a better deal(ie: you're switching form Cablevision to Verizon)?
we're thinking of switching..just wondering thanks!

1- LOVE IT! I HATE CHANGE BUT IT WAS WORHT IT. IT JUST SUCKED GETTING USED TO THE DIFFERENT CHANNELS.
2-OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD I DON'T KNOW THE PRICE PER MONTH, BUT IT INCLUDES VERIZON CELL PHONES WITH IT.
3-- :( WE GOT IT IN SEPTEMBER AND WE'RE STILL WAITING...I CALLED ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO BOTU THE TV VOUCHER/$200 BEST BUY GIFT CARD VOUCHER AND FROM THERE I THINK IT WILL BE ABOUT 6 MORE WEEKS
4-- INTERNET CONNECTION IS 100000X BETTER THAN CABLE. NEVER GOES DOWN WHERE AS CABLE I WAS CALLING ABOTU 3X A WEEK.
5--I DON'T THINK YOU HAVE TO MENTION ANYTHING. JUST MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM ABOUT THE TV AND YOU ARE INTERESTED--WHATS THE BEST THEY CAN DO FOR YOU.

ugh...I can write a book on this...thank goodness Ii now have a direct line to a supervisor--I suckered alot out of them too.
I got a tv---of course not here yet...
a 200 amex card and a 50.00 target card..
and then they mailed a 100.00 target card by accident..I am waiting a few months to see if they saw anything---if not I am keeping itl.
instead of taking the 250.00 in gift cards they credited my bill 250.00...that was done already...getting the tv is a real *****.

I am JEALOUS!!! I got Fios in May of last year and got nothing but free installation!!! I am pizzed 
I've also had a lot of problems with them billing wise in the begining. My first month bill was for $350 which they took right out of my debit acct and wouldn't give me any back....they just used it towards a credit for 3 months which was annoying b/c it was my vacation money

Hey I am mad too! I got Fios last year and only got a lousy 50 card to Target (which never came by the way, they just credited our account for 50). Not waiting for channels to "load" is reason enough for me to keep Verizon. I found that so annoying!

1 - Love it!
2 - I have upgraded internet service (20 down, 5 up), HBO & Cinemax, plus 2 STBs & 1 DVR so it's alot all together but I get more than I was getting from cable
3 - I switched 1 yr ago in Feb - they weren't offering anything at the time
4 - No. I did have some interference on my video baby monitor when the wireless was turned on but just recently we got a new modem/router b/c the old one died and it has since be resolved - that used to happen with cable also anyway.
5 - I don't know and I didn't care, I wanted to just get rid of cable and get the internet speed I was paying for which I was NOT getting with cable. I run an FTP server for business related stuff and it was critical that my speed be reliable.

We have had it since May. Love it! We only had 1 major problem with the tv and it was the result of a bad splitter. Unfortunately, we had no tv for almost 5 days while waiting for them to fix it...I complained a lot but still had to wait.
We got nothing for free except for a discount the first few months.

supposedly my 250.00 credit is now on my bill...
I got another**mistake gift card..100.00 so I got 2 target cards now and the tv supposedly takes 6 weeks...we will see/
it def helps to badger a supervisor 24-7.

It's really odd but you should receive a letter from FIOS with your username and password with info directing you to do to FIOS Reward Website Fill out the info and you should receive your TV and Gift cards. If you didn't get your letter call 1-866-279-0438 and request that they send you one.
