Low Amniotic Fluid
I was told a couple of weeks ago that my fluid levels were on the low side of normal. Well today I went to my high risk doctor and now they are under the low side of normal. They have to be above 5 in order for you not to be hospitalized and mine is at 7.18. So, I have to go back to the doctor tomorrow to have them checked again and as long as they are not any lower I'm okay. But I do have to go back to the doctor every other day next week and I also have to be on bedrest and not work for at least this week.
Not the news I wanted to hear And the worst part is that my shower is this Sunday. I'm still going to go to it, but just sit there and open gifts and let everyone wait on me.

Re: Low Amniotic Fluid
Ladies, my friend is having this problem too, her fluids are low and the baby is breach. She is on bedrest.
My question is how does the Dr determine our fluids? What are the symptons? Does the symptons lead to a sonogram that determines your fluids.

my dr. thought that my belly was measuring on the small side so i got a sono-showed that my fluids were quite low. once i really started to drink more water and other fluids they went up to a better # i also think another symptom is less movement by the baby but i'm not sure and it usually happens later in pregnancy.

Re: Low Amniotic Fluid
MIne was actually on the high side. They just kept monitoring and for some reason it has stayed normal but a bit on the high side. I don't know what causes it.
