Low Progesterone Levels
Wow this whole fertility thing has become a second career for me. I feel like I've been from doctor's office to doctor's office and haven't had much time for anything else. I hope everyone is finding some peace on this difficult journey we're all on.
I recently got some answers to my two m/c finally after a month of testing they found that my progesterone levels were low. Whew!!! Which validated what I had been feeling since the first m/c. Wish I could have known sooner oh well. But finding out this info has made me hopeful for trying again.
So now I'm going on progesterone suppositories. I'm not really sure what to expect in terms of side effects? Can anyone relate their experiences. Thanks so much>

Re: Low Progesterone Levels
I am so sorry for your losses I am glad they seem to have pinpointed the cause and can help you maintain a successful pregnancy
I was on progesterone suppositories before and after both IVF procedures. I don't remember being warned about any side effects from them and aside from actually remembering to take them (along with shots), I had no issues with them.
Good luck!

Re: Low Progesterone Levels
i also have low progesterone and im on them now again. I do the suppositories 3x day.. Remember u must wear a pantyliner... thats a MUST.
As far as symptoms... they are pretty much pregnancy symptoms... feeling bloated, boobs hurting, etc.
im happy ur dr found the reason is ur deficiency in progesterone!!!
Good luck. hope u get ur bfp soon!!!

Re: Low Progesterone Levels
I'm on suppositories 1x a day with this pregnancy.
Don't know if they are causing side effects, I don't know what is pregnancy related of progesterone related. KWIM ?
The only thing is they are kinda gross. But if it works, it's worth it!
If I was you I would push to have your HCG/progesterone monitored with your next pregnancy starting with your BFP. Regardless of whether he puts you on progesterone suppositories.

Re: Low Progesterone Levels
I also had low progesterone and I believe that is why I m/c. I didn't find out until I was 8wks and the baby did not grow past 7w2d. I took the suppositories starting at 8w1d but it was to late I didn't feel any different except there was A LOT of discharge. ALWAYS were a pantyliner. I did feel somewhat bloated but not bad.
