Mandatory Covid Vaccines for Colleges
I'm pretty sure the possibility that this would be an annual vaccine has been pretty well known for awhile now. Like the flu shot. I'm fine with that. Jab me every 6 months if you freaking want to.

Exactly. Since viruses can mutate, it makes sense to get an annual shot to account for any new strains year over year.
The third shot at the 6 month mark is something they were talking about in order to stay ahead of the variants but they've said that going forward it's expected that the COVID vaccine will be annual.

Re: Mandatory Covid Vaccines for Colleges
They are saying you could require a third shot and then every year. So why is the 2nd shot not be good enough and that should be a concern to all taking it.
People are also annoyed from the posts I read from this as they have gotten so sick from the 2nd shot they don’t want to take a 3rd. I know a few who regretted it and one who thought she was dying.

College is a privilege not a right. The schools already require proof of vaccination for numerous other illnesses. This is nothing new and fear mongering.
i went to college many, many moons ago. i remember having to get some vaccination before they let me on campus. i happily did it.
i see nothing new about this.
although DS is 26, if he were younger i would sign him up... starting today - CA opened to everyone 16+ as of today.

They aren't saying you'll need a third shot They said they were testing out a third shot on some participants to account for variants. Going forward, I'm sure they will be able to account for variants ahead of time (similar to flu) and you just get your annual COVID shot.
Most everyone is reporting same side effects from Moderna and Pfizer after second shot, most everyone feeling better 24 hrs later. Medications and vaccines have side effects, par for the course. Not really a reason to not get vaccinated.

Because the 3rd shot is for the variants that were not yet around when they were doing the initial trials a year ago.

Can someone please post links that prove Moderna and Pfizer vaccines have been proven to have caused the deaths of individuals? I always like to do my own research before forming an opinion, and I search but can't find a single thing that shows proof. Thank you.
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/adverse-events.html
Updated Apr. 13, 2021 ... To date, Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) has not detected patterns in cause of death that would indicate a safety problem with COVID-19 vaccines. ...
Isn’t that interesting? Thousands of reported cases and yet the cause of death never seems to involve the vaccine. Same for the obgyn that all of a sudden developed a fast-acting blood autoimmune disease that caused him his life days after the vaccine. Same for the 1 woman out of 6 (supposedly that number increased as per the news today) that just died because of the J&J vaccine. Same for the healthy pregnant women that suddenly suffered the loss of their babies days after the vaccine, and it goes on and on. Thousands upon thousands of reports, severe injuries included, but they all just seem to be a big coincidence, or they close the case without ever finding an actual ‘cause’, but never the vaccine. . All these people that never had any indication of health problems, all of a sudden are experiencing these issues out of no where...yeah, it must be their defective and imperfect bodies suddenly not working properly but never the vaccine. Stupid bodies!
He provided me with an article. If you are so sure people are dropping dead left and right over these vaccines, please do the same. I have looked and have found NOTHING. I won't accuse you of being wrong, I just don't take someone's "thousands upon thousands" as fact if they can't back it up. You don't believe in ANY vaccines. Even ones FDA approved and in use for decades. So please understand why I don't take what you say as fact unless you have the research to back it up. I also need to ask, what is your solution then? Open everything and stop masks and allow healthcare workers and hospitals to become overwhelmed again? That's a better idea to you?
Who said people are dropping dead left and right?? When I said thousands upon thousands, I was referring to reports made to vaers of actual people experiencing severe adverse reactions from strokes, partial body paralysis, seizures, involuntary body movement, unexplained and sudden development of autoimmune diseases like guillain barre, thrombocytopenia, MS, etc, to premature birth, miscarriages, stillbirths, and the list continues. Deaths have happened but the great majority of these reports are severe adverse reactions. Please don’t take my word, spend some time reading though these vast reports in vaers on ur own. I couldn’t care less if u accuse me of being wrong, seriously. As a matter of fact don’t believe anything I say, do ur own research like u said u’ve been doing but don’t limit urself and be open to expand ur sources and by this I mean go beyond the people that tells u the “science is settled” (that along should be a red flag as science is always evolving, it’s meant to be questioned, just like Richard Feynman said...”I’d rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned.”) or those that always say vaccines are “safe and effective” when even pharmaceutical companies state the adverse reactions, and contraindications that can occur, even having a black box warning on some of their products.
U’re right, for religious and personal reasons, I don’t believe in any vaccines the way they are now, with no liability whatsoever, with ties to politicians (I’ve seen with my own eyes the lucrative lobbying constantly going on between pharmaceutical companies and politicians, I have not heard this from anyone, I have literally experienced it myself), with toxic and questionable components that can pose a risk to my family and myself, with the injuries they have caused to a great deal of people even to individuals close to me. When these things change, I’ll give it another thought but til then, I will keep my beliefs and apply them to my own family and to no one else. I don’t shame or judge anyone else for vaccinating, or guilt anyone for choosing to do so as I understand the importance to make our own decisions and our family’s and how imperative and crucial it is to keep it this way. That’s why I believe in medical freedom and fully informed consent for all. U might now understand my skepticism against these same companies that now make the covid vaccines. What would my solution for covid be u sarcastically ask? Lol that only tells me how little u really want to genuinely know lol! I’m no expert and never claimed to be but I have already talked plenty about this and stated my humble opinions in other threads just like those with opposite opinions than mine.

I am not opposed to anything that is out for awhile and had been tested. You have stated more than once this will get us back to normal but now they are talking about a 3rd shot for variants, one that they had to stop for blood clots.
You can correct me if I am wrong but don’t they usually test on animals, hence the saying “guinea pig”?

Obviously you don’t as you will be willing to take 2,3,20 shots before they figure out if it will work and still be limited to what you can do in life because they want you to still wear a mask after being vaccinated.

I was actually genuinely curious as to what your solution was. Because without a vaccine, this is how we live. Masks and restrictions. For years. Personally, I don't mind the masks but the restrictions are rough and I would like to see a way out of them. I have done extensive research and all I find are articles giving specific examples, including the doctor in Florida and the mother in Utah, who died shortly after the vaccine, and then the autopsy reports that say the vaccine was not the direct cause.

Medications can be out for years and be deemed safe and even then, you could have your own unusual reaction. Every medication and vaccine you take comes with a certain level of risk. You have to weigh that risk against the risks of not taking the med. Nothing is a guarantee in life.
And yes, just as vaccines have changed the course of public health and mortality in the past so will the COVID vaccine. To think otherwise shows a lack of understanding as to how medical science impacts societies and our way of life. At one point in time antibiotics were "experimental", where would we be today without them?
BTW....... you have a greater likelihood of blood clots from having COVID then you do taking the vaccine.

Masking AFTER being vaccinated when in public is temporary until enough of the population has been vaccinated. I am sure in the coming months that restriction will fade away. As it stands now, fully vaccinated people can gather indoors, mask free. It's only a matter of time until that spills out into public areas once we reach a certain level of vaccination across the country.

People are also annoyed from the posts I read from this as they have gotten so sick from the 2nd shot they don’t want to take a 3rd. I know a few who regretted it and one who thought she was dying.
So....guinea pigs.
Why in God's name do you care so much? Does your brain ever hurt from your tin foil hat being on so tight?
Obviously you don’t as you will be willing to take 2,3,20 shots before they figure out if it will work and still be limited to what you can do in life because they want you to still wear a mask after being vaccinated.
So you have worn a mask when gathering indoors with other people who don’t live with you?

We haven't socialized with anyone since COVID started other than my vaccinated parents who just visited for the first time since last summer. If we happened to run into family and friends while on LI or around town here in NJ, we've always been outdoors and socially distanced so no need for masks.

Did they ask you to mask up since you are not vaccinated and just had Covid?

Of course not. CDC said vaccinated people can gather indoors, with a single family who is not vaccinated, without masks. Aside from that, they weren't going to catch COVID from us, we were over 3 weeks from first symptoms and not contagious. Since we very likely have antibodies, we're as safe to be around as someone who is vaccinated.

Funny how the people who listened to the CDC, wore masks and saw no one on a social basis got Covid while others who lived their life for a year was fine. Sad some missed out on so much.

That's life in a pandemic. It's all a crap shoot.
It's funny though how you think you're immune from COVID.
