People are also annoyed from the posts I read from this as they have gotten so sick from the 2nd shot they don’t want to take a 3rd. I know a few who regretted it and one who thought she was dying.
They aren't saying you'll need a third shot They said they were testing out a third shot on some participants to account for variants. Going forward, I'm sure they will be able to account for variants ahead of time (similar to flu) and you just get your annual COVID shot.

Correct. Any subject willing to participate in an extension study and get a third shot is a guinea pig. Participation is entirely voluntary and they must meet the inclusion criteria (including a variety of tests to ensure they are healthy and do not have any known contraindications to the vaccine). They meet with a physician who is well versed in the study and are presented with a detailed consent form letting them know that their participation is voluntary and what the risks are. They can ask unlimited questions and they can take the consent form home to think about it.

Obviously you don’t as you will be willing to take 2,3,20 shots before they figure out if it will work and still be limited to what you can do in life because they want you to still wear a mask after being vaccinated.
Masking AFTER being vaccinated when in public is temporary until enough of the population has been vaccinated. I am sure in the coming months that restriction will fade away. As it stands now, fully vaccinated people can gather indoors, mask free. It's only a matter of time until that spills out into public areas once we reach a certain level of vaccination across the country.

We haven't socialized with anyone since COVID started other than my vaccinated parents who just visited for the first time since last summer. If we happened to run into family and friends while on LI or around town here in NJ, we've always been outdoors and socially distanced so no need for masks.
Did they ask you to mask up since you are not vaccinated and just had Covid?
Of course not. CDC said vaccinated people can gather indoors, with a single family who is not vaccinated, without masks. Aside from that, they weren't going to catch COVID from us, we were over 3 weeks from first symptoms and not contagious. Since we very likely have antibodies, we're as safe to be around as someone who is vaccinated.
Funny how the people who listened to the CDC, wore masks and saw no one on a social basis got Covid while others who lived their life for a year was fine.
Sad some missed out on so much.
That's life in a pandemic. It's all a crap shoot.
It's funny though how you think you're immune from COVID. 
I’ve said I thought I was immune? I don’t think I have ever said that.
Just stating that someone like yourself who did nothing all year and missed out on so many things got ill.

I’m against it, just curious where others stand. And if those who quickly rolled up their sleeves for themselves are as quick to allow their children to?
Didn’t read thru to see if it was mentioned already, but if students over the age of 18 are still eligible for a religious exemption.

Someone I personally know posted that her period has changed since getting her vaccine and posted a recent article where they are now looking into if the vaccine affects your cycle. The fact that they are studying this and people are concerned with fertility and the vaccine HOW CAN YOU MANDATE THIS FOR COLLEGE AGED CHILDREN???? Are they linked....we don’t know yet. Your cycle fluctuates based on so many things but the fact that they are researching it should put the brakes on forcing young women from getting this!!!

I have actually had a lot of abdominal cramping similar to menstrual cramps followed by spotting. I actually thought this was really weird but I did think that it was probably related to the vaccine.

I agree. Until it is fully FDA approved and all the things they are "looking into" are resolved, it should 100% be voluntary. And yes, it's voluntary now but not really if they make it mandatory to go to college- sure you don't' HAVE to go to college but that is truly not fair for a student who, like you mentioned, worked for so long towards a goal.
I'm just glad it's not approved for use in kids under 16 yet- thought i know that's coming.

Even if and when (cause I know how Big Pharma works) it gets fda approved, it should still be voluntary along with giving knowledge of pros AND cons to the person prior to the vaccine so that person can make a fully informed decision on what’s best for her/him. The fact of the matter is that no one can deny all vaccines (including covid vaccines as all of us are seeing in real time) come with risks and therefore there should never be a mandate for this type of medical procedure. If there are contraindications, side effects, and adverse reactions listed on the inserts of vaccines then the person should be informed and leave the decision exclusively to that person, just like it happens with any other pharmaceutical product.

I totally agree. I don’t have college aged kids but it’s heart breaking to think about! A friend showed me an email from her child’s school and what is totally disgusting is while they are mandating this shot for the kids they are not mandating it for the faculty and staff! Does that make any sense when they are the ones most at risk? Why do you think that is? Because the teachers and staff would go NUTS if they tried to mandate and they would never get away with it!!!! Parents should be up in arms! Protesting! Bringing lawsuits , etc! Who is protecting their children!?!?!? No one! And that is why in NY they will likely come for K-12 next while never mandating it for the teachers.

Actual rallies and a judge ruled to stop it.
So it's possible...
And the funny thing is- that was all about not mandating the vaccine for health care workers.

And they didn’t recommend it to these subpopulations or women that wanted to conceive in the future. Yet, the vaccine is still pushed on pregnant women. The fact that they admit they are looking into these things makes me strongly feel that there should be a pause on pushing this on people and making it mandatory.
I’m so glad my kids are younger. I couldn’t imagine having a 20 year old who worked their Butt off to get into a college like Yale, finished a year or two and is now being FORCED to get a vaccine to continue and they are concerned about something as important as future fertility.
I totally agree. I don’t have college aged kids but it’s heart breaking to think about! A friend showed me an email from her child’s school and what is totally disgusting is while they are mandating this shot for the kids they are not mandating it for the faculty and staff! Does that make any sense when they are the ones most at risk? Why do you think that is? Because the teachers and staff would go NUTS if they tried to mandate and they would never get away with it!!!! Parents should be up in arms! Protesting! Bringing lawsuits , etc! Who is protecting their children!?!?!? No one! Yes! It’s possible especially since it’s only approved for emergency use! And what is the justification for mandating for students and not teachers? Also, money talks. If huge groups threaten to pull their kids from the school you will see how fast the vaccine becomes optional. I don’t understand how any parent would go along with this at this point in time!

That is insane!! I’m curious to see how that plays out. Common sense is gone. Vaccinate the ones not at risk and not the ones who could be at risk.

Well how about Cooperstown? It is a baseball tournament in NY. It is usually for 12u and up, and now saying if you want your child to play in the tournament, they need to be vaccinated...at 12

But they can't be vaccinated at 12. So.... what is their explanation for that?
Why don't they just come out and say you can't play anymore from age 12-16.
12 year olds are not eligible to be vaccinated.
What kind of assholes are they?

It really scares me the psychosis that has emerged in just one short year. Seeing how stupid people really are and how much common sense is missing from this country.
