Measuring small at 7 weeks

Anyone have experience with this? Went for an ultrasound today at 7 weeks. Saw a strong heartbeat but baby is measuring 6 weeks 4 days. When we went for our initial ultrasound 2 weeks ago, baby was measuring exactly on target at 5w4d. Kind of worried Chat Icon but the sono tech didn't seem concerned. Anyone have this happen? What was the outcome?

Totally normal--there is an average and lots of people are below or above that average size. I wouldn't worry!!

Measuring small at 7 weeks

For this pregnancy my sac measured small in the beginning to the point where my RE was concerned. Once we heard the heartbeat and it was where it should be she became a lot more confident. She said sometimes sacs measure small but if everything else is on target not to worry. I'm 36 weeks now.

ETA: + or - a few days is normal.. you're only measuring 3 days behind which is normal so I wouldn't stress. Also different techs and different machines can cuz measurements to vary.

In a prior pregnancy, my baby was measuring like three or four days behind. My doctor was not concerned at all, and he is one to be concerned about every little thing.

ITA. And the fact that you saw the heartbeat is a great thing. Congrats!

Agree with everyone here. It's totally normal to measure +/- a couple of days.

Re: Measuring small at 7 weeks

Thank you ladies!!! Reading these responses is putting my mind at ease. My OB should be calling me later to go over the results, but his assist spoke to me briefly and said that since all my betas were slow to rise and seemed early, it seems very in line with my entire pregnancy so far and nothing to worry about .
