Meet our Doc tonight! NT scan and 12.5 wk sono!
So, I am meeting my doctor tonight, for the first time, I hope I like him! My gyno does not deliver anymore, but this ob is part of his practice.
NT scan-what should I expect?
12.5w sono-internal or belly?

The NT scan is a sono- they will be external. They just take measurements of the baby and do a fingerprick blood test on you.

Thank you, I know a sono is part of the scan, and they test the blood via finger prick, etc, I just meant do you get the results immediatly, do you have to wait? Do you get pics...etc.

Yes you get pics of your little bean. I didn't get results until I went to see my Dr. If there is a problem you can ask them to call you ahead of time. My blood was taken from the arm.

We didn't get our results til a week later, although I called a couple of days after and they told me over the phone that they were fine...
ETA: We did get pics, and my blood was taken from my arm....

at my 12 week sono it was external. and i had like a billion vials of blood taken.
half for the prenatal screen the dr. ordered and the rest to be sent out for the genetic screen.

I think immediate results depend upon who is doing the NT.
With DD I went to the hospital's sonogram dept and a tech did the scan and I *think* the info was reported to my doc b/c they took the blood @ the same time and I didn't get the results for a week or so. I remember being very nervous around mother's day 'cause we had just had the NT & I didn't have any answers.
This time had the scan @ the perinatologist and the sono tech did the NT but then the doc came in and went over every shot the tech took, pointed out the spine, the nose, the neck measurements, etc. it was very cool.
One of the perks of having to schlep to the perinatologist every 2 weeks.

do you get to hear the HB at that time too? We have seen the heartbeat but still havent heard it yet
