Mirbeau Spa Weekend in upstate NY w/ Pics and Review!
DH and I celebrated our second anniversary at the Mirbeau Spa in upstate NY.
Mirbeau Inn and Spa
It is a luxury Spa in Skaneateles, NY (just outside of Syracuse - about 5 hours from NYC/LI).
We arrived late the first night and enjoyed champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and the gas fireplace in our room!
The second day we went into town of Skaneateles (about 1/2 mile down the road) and ate a light breakfast and shopped at the boutiques. Also, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, people from the town dress up and recreate scenes from Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carole". The characters we saw even serenaded me!!!
DH and I then went back to the spa and we each received a 50 minute massage - which was AMAZING! We then went into the heated outdoor jacuzzi and lavendar sauna.
We ate a 4 course dinner that night at the restaurant at the spa called Giverny. I had the lobster and DH had beef tenderloin as his main course. I had the bread pudding for dessert - highly recommend!
Just a warning - the portions aren't that big... The chef served us (and all of the patrons that night) three additional courses though - thank goodness that helped to fill up DH!
Our last day we hit the Waterloo outlets (about 20 minutes away). I did most of my Christmas shopping in the Coach outlet - woohoo!

Our bathroom - loved the clawfoot tub!
