Terrible and sad. That poor boy. I hate this world we live in. I heard he went for a run.. I wonder if someone attacked him while he was running... Just so much evil in this world
It's not really my place to divulge any info, but he was not attacked
oh no
Prayers it was not painful. Poor beautiful boy.
RIP beautiful boy

I can't imagine what his parents are going though. The one article says it appears to be non-criminal. What could have possibly happened if it's non-criminal? My heart hurts for this family.
Maybe Suicide? Ugh this is so so sad
I think you're right. Someone in the SWR community group just posted a crisis hotline phone number. This is so sad. I wish every teen out there knew that sometimes things happen and it feels like the end of the world but it's not. I hope this little boy is at peace.

Yes, from what I am hearing it was non-criminal, so it appears it may have been self inflicted. Just so tragic and my heart breaks for this boy and his family.

Re: Missing boy in Shoreham
I also heard suicide. My heart breaks!! So young, so much to live for. Please talk with your children about what goes on in their lives everyday and how they are feeling. I really feel with all these young suicides lately, social media is a big player. This is my biggest problem with some kids getting them as young as 9 years old. May he rest in peace and I pray for his poor family that will have to live with this.
If they only knew that Suicide does not take away the pain, it only causes it to pass onto others.

Missing boy in Shoreham
So sad. About a week ago a 13-14 year old also committed suicide in Long Beach, they say over bullying.
So sad. Wish these kids knew there was and is hope. Prayers for them and their families

It is a sad world we live in today. That a 14 year old would think that suicide is an option. I think we need to start limiting the social media and building relationships again. May he RIP and may his family be able to stay strong.

This is becoming too prevalent. He seems like a kid who had it all. What could be so troubling that he would do such a thing? He was a handsome athletic boy. His parents must be heartbroken.

Missing boy in Shoreham
It's truly awful.
There are some adults who need to stay far away from social media.
For kids there is NO need for Facebook, Snapchat, Vine, Instagram, etc. And parents who want to give in to their kids way too much when it comes to this stuff. Kids need to be kids with boundaries and limitations so that they can grow up to be well rounded and not succumb to societal pressures.

Re: Missing boy in Shoreham
My mil just found out about this, she's friends with the dad. It seems that his older brother found him in the woods. So horrible, for the little boy, the brother, the parents! My heart breaks for them!!!! It's so sad knowing that a lot of the times parents can help with a problem that a kid is going through but because of lack of communication, things like this can happen

This is so heartbreaking. It seems like youth suicides have been on the rise. I feel like this is an issue that should be addressed in the younger grades and not just in high school.

Missing boy in Shoreham
My heart breaks for this boy!! Such a gorgeous boy! So young!! I'm literally sick to my stomach. I heard suicide also. We were discussing this today at work I I truly believe while we all might have gone thru some kind of "bullying" when we were young I believe social media is affecting these kids way too much!! It's a disgrace. It's awful.

How devastating for the family... I had hoped he just kinda ran away to a friend's house when I saw the FB post God give them the strength to heal.
