Are you talking like flying somewhere or driving distance?

Re: Mom Vacation (alone)
Alone? I don't think I could do alone. A few hours yes, but I'm too social. LOL
What about Crystal Springs in NJ? Pamper yourself!
Funny you said that bc I was supposed to meet my friend at Borgata in AC for the night. I get there and just find out her flight had a few hours delay. I went to the pool and read then gambled at slots a bit and sat at a bar by myself and had some wine and apps and talked to the couple next to me and the bartender. He was giving me free samples to try. LOL Maybe felt bad for me.
While it was nice I was getting lonely. Although I did enjoy singing Rent alone in the room by myself till my friend finally arrived. So it was almost 6 hours to myself. If that happens again next time I'd go to the spa. Enjoy!

Re: Mom Vacation (alone)
Oh, I'm not really going anywhere lol. I mean I would LOVE to though! Logistically would probably never work though! I saw an article about moms taking solo vacation to rest and recharge last night. Definitely has me thinking though!!

Mom Vacation (alone)
I would honestly just go to a local hotel and get a good night of uninterrupted sleep, followed by a few hours vegging out in bed with the tv or a good book. I’m easy to please!

Re: Mom Vacation (alone)
I would go to a nice resort someplace warm with a spa. Lay by the pool or on the beach all day and get served food and drinks and read a book.
And get massages.

Re: Mom Vacation (alone)
I dream about this often.. but I don’t think I’d actually ever go alone. I’ve honestly never eaten alone even in a Starbucks or McDonald’s, let alone a nice restaurant.
However, if I ever get the time and apparently the guts lol, I’d do a beach and spa trip!

I am not a fan of eating alone either but I am more comfortable eating alone at a bar. Or I'd do room service

Exactly this.
I love being alone in a hotel, but I only get to for work. I love my family to death, but its nice to just have total quiet - no DH snoring, no dogs on top of me, no kids crying or coming in the room. Ah. I don't travel that much anymore.

Mom Vacation (alone)
I have traveled a bunch lately. Some alone alone and some with others beside family.
I did Atlanta, Maine and Delaware alone. I just flew to Maui by myself and met up with my running friends. I’m off to NC in March and Martha’s Vineyard in May meeting up with running friends.
I’d go anywhere alone!!!
Oh and I did Disney alone alone.

Funny you mention Disney. I just read about a party that one of my favorite Disney bloggers is having at Disneyland in the Spring. I think I'm going to go by myself for a long weekend! Maybe a side trip to the beach!

I can't even imagine doing Disney alone...no having to share snacks with my kids, no wrangling everyone to get ready and out the door, no wiping down airplane seats, or worrying about TSA. Doing what *I want to do.....sounds like a dream LOL!

Could she go on a Tauk tour or one provided via your college alumni organization? Mine has guided tours they offer with options for single people too.

Re: Mom Vacation (alone)
Prior to the birth of my 7 month old, I went by myself to Cape May, NJ for a long weekend every year. It was amazing! I slept in, shopped, took a yoga class, read, got a hot stone massage. It wad exactly what I needed to recharge. I can't wait until DD is a little oldet so that I can start going again.

NYC- I'd go see a show, window shop, go to a museum. Find good takeout to eat in my hotel room. Though I've eaten alone in restaurants and I'm ok with it.

I actually just did this the other night. Stayed in a nice hotel, walked around a bit, ordered room service, watched the Bachelor, then got up early to see the View. Was a great time!
