I have traveled a bunch lately. Some alone alone and some with others beside family.
I did Atlanta, Maine and Delaware alone. I just flew to Maui by myself and met up with my running friends. I’m off to NC in March and Martha’s Vineyard in May meeting up with running friends.
I’d go anywhere alone!!!
Oh and I did Disney alone alone.
Nice!!!
Funny you mention Disney. I just read about a party that one of my favorite Disney bloggers is having at Disneyland in the Spring. I think I'm going to go by myself for a long weekend! Maybe a side trip to the beach!
Is this the Pearls in the Park?? That event looks so fun!! She honestly seems like the coolest person to hang with.
I just have to update on this! I went to Pearls in the Park for a long weekend ALONE! It was absolutely AMAZING!! Loved every single second of it! So many fun people, and I didn't feel "alone" at all! You should totally go next time!! We had lunches, breakfasts, meet ups, group pics, hundreds of people, and most without their kids. I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel with an awesome group rate, and I can't even tell you how awesome it was to do Disney without kids. It was SO relaxing (if you can even imagine). I just love the Nostalgia of Disneyland, so it was nice to go slow and appreciate all of the things there!
At the end of my trip I spent a night in Newport Beach, which was also AMAZING!! OMG I LOVED it!! Biked for hours along the Pacific. I stayed in an amazing hotel there. Totally would go back to Newport Beach!
I seriously had the best 5 days of my life in a long time, with no "motherhood responsibilities". Totally doing it again!

Re: Mom Vacation (alone) Updated at the end!
I would love a weekend getaway to a beach.... with a spa. I would spend most of my time sunbathing, sleeping, reading magazines and more sleeping right there in the sun and sand. Then I would spend a little time at the spa getting pampered. That will never, ever happen for me. I too, read about it, am given advice to do it. It is financially and physically impossible for me to be able to do that, it would uproot our entire life... but that is my dream!!!
