IMO boys are earlier walkers, but later talkers. All my friends daughters seem to be talking much more than the boys are.
Not true in my case. My boy was a late walker. I would say he started around 14 and a half months. As for talking. Still no go. A few words here and there and I don't know if they count as actual words or sounds. He does understand though and he's always babbling to us using his hands. So he does want to communicate he just can't say the words so it's usually baby babble.

I will disagree with this in my case anyway. My DS #1 was 11 months and walking and had over 150 words by 1 1/2 yrs old. My DD was a middle of the road talker but walked even earlier (10 months)
DS #2 walked at 10 1/2 months and is now almost 19 months and his vocab is starting to ramp up just the past week or so.
Bottom line, they're all different.
My niece walked and talked super early. She was practically running around at 9 months old, definitely walking and talked very early too. (and hasnt stopped talking, 7 years later LOLOL)
