moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
Are you back to normal yet? Because I'm certainly not!
I'd never had gas pains in my life until I was pregnant. However, they haven't gone away! Every time I eat a full meal, I'm writhing in pain about 20 minutes later. I have no problems at all if I just eat something small (like some crackers and baby bel cheese, etc.) though! It's the weirdest thing. The Dr said it takes a while for all the internal organs to get back to place, and this could be causing my discomfort.
I'm lucky that all the baby weight is gone, but my midsection is still bigger than it was.
My bleeding stopped around 3.5 weeks. wooohoo.
Just wondering how everyone else is doing...there were quite a few of us due at the same time!

Hi Nic...
Doing ok I guess... been so busy with Ryan and Hannah starts 2nd grade on Wednesday so I just feel very overwhelmed.
I joined WW last week, I HAVE to get this weight off. I didn't gain much during the pregnancy, but I gained a lot between the 2 kids that never came off. My body will never be the same.

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
hey nic!
abby just turned 2 months! i cant believe how fast its gone. I feel fantastic with the exception of a few little things. I was very very lucky and lost all the weight i gained with the pregnancy at about 3 weeks pp. but ust because the scale says so doesnt mean anything. what im left with is a TOTALLY different shapped body! im slightly upset about hti since i had just bought alot of new clothes before the baby. hoping that maybe next year i can fit back into them or something.
and the other thing is that ive been bleeding since i gave birth
i bled the normal 6weeks pp... and then had 2 day sof nothing and then got my first period. which is so lovely and has stuck about for 3 weeks! i called the OB to make sure everything was ok and he said unfortunately yes it is i just started BCP so he said that can play a role... but ITS GETTING OLD!

Feeling really good. I was lucky and lost the baby weight and have been walking like crazy to keep it off.
Still no sign of AF and I actually want it for once so I can where my cycle is.
Meagan is FINALLY sleeping for long stretched and actually rolled over tonight

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
Lexi will be 3 weeks on Wednesday already. I cannot believe how fast time is going. It makes me sad!
The transition to motherhood was easy because she is such an incredibly good baby. The only time she cries is when I change her and wipe her with a cold wipe or when she's ready to eat. I am truly blessed with her and love her like crazy.
The bleeding is pretty light now, but still there. I had bad cramps yesterday like I was getting AF- which I thought was weird. I miss my sleep and my apartment is desperate for a cleaning. DH goes back to work on Thursday so i'm gonna miss having him around. I wish I could take her out places, but the doc says not until 8 weeks and with the swine flu crap i'm going to listen to him.
That's about it!

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
Tired...
but more so because of school
I'm my pre-preg weight, but all fluffy in the middle...not liking it too much
and I also have a wound still on my incision that I have visiting nurses coming to the house everyday to check on it
and DH is irritating me
but besides that I'm good
I love DD...she's 7 weeks now...she's soooo worth all of this

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
Hey! Feeling GREAT. DD is so good, she's almost 4 weeks and even though she doesn't sleep through the night she gets up every 3-4 hrs to eat and usually goes right back to sleep. She's up a lot more now during the day, loves to look around at everything.
The soreness from giving birth went away around 2 weeks PP... i'm still bleeding a teeny bit, it's still tapering off.
I have about 7 lbs to lose still (gained 32 lbs total) and my belly is totally gone, but none of my pre-preg pants fit. I feel like even if I lose the 7 lbs my body is still going to be so different.
I can't WAIT to start working out again!

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
DD is 6 weeks old tomorrow! I am feeling great. I weighed myself at about one month PP and I was about 8 pounds above my prepregnancy weight (I gained about 32 pounds total). I fit into alot of my pre pregnancy clothes but I can't get used to the way my stomach looks, I'm def. going to have to work on that at some point!
Emotionally I am doing well. I had a really rough time in the beginning with breast feeding and was EXTRMELY emotional during that time. Giving up breast feeding and switching to formula was the best thing that I could have done for my emotional health (I also had had a lot of physical complications with breastfeeding), and since then I have felt sooooo much better.
DD is VERY colicy and I was having a really hard time with it in the beginning, but I am getting better at coping with it and am hoping that the older DD gets, her colic will lessen.
Overall I'm feeling good, the beginning was hard for me, but I feel like each week it gets easier.

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
Everything is fine here except that I go back to work on Friday. Hoping that pumping at work will go well and not be too much of a hassle.
Ann has her 2 month check up on Thursday and I'm really looking forward to seeing how much she weighs and how much she has grown (she seems to have outgrown most of her newborn clothing).

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
is 12 days old. Physically I feel better than I thought i would. But boy oh boy did my ankles swell up right after birth. They seem to be getting better. I won't get on the scale until next Monday, I don't want to see the numbers yet
I was super emotional when I first got home, wasn't expecting that. I am having a really difficult time with BF'ing and that has been so overwhelming. I'm not giving up yet!
has been an angel! He sleeps so much but when he is awake he is so smoochie and alert!

Physically pretty good all things considered. Exhausted, obviously, but this recovery was much easier than with my first.
ETS: DS #2 is 3 weeks tomorrow.

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
Im 9 weeks pp and still have a lot of weight to take off. I guess its my own fault really-not eating healthy 'diet' food, still eating my carbs (bad me)
My hips seemed to have gotten wider I think with my 2nd and my left side bone still hurts.

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
Feeling good! My recovery went SO well this time around - I think because I was walking 3-4 miles a day up until I delivered.
I'm taking nice, long walks with Yael everyday and the weight is coming off easily. I'm about halfway there back to my pre-pregnancy weight.
Bleeding stopped weeks ago, though, like you, I am having bad gas at the end of the day. I'm assuming it will work itself out as my organs readust after the c-section.
And Yael... omg, Yael. What an incredible baby. She slept 11 hours straight through last night, from 8pm-7am. Love this baby!

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
I'm doing ok...I had a c-section so I have some "extra padding" aoround my middle...I lost all the baby weight but my shape is different and I don't fit into my pre-PG jeans so I am still wearing maternity I feel weird in my middle though, it feels empty
I'm still really tired though I am learning to adjust and my DS is sleeping better stretches now I try to walk with him one or 2 times a day around our neighborhood. I still get teary / sad sometimes - more like I miss my freedom to come and go but then I see my little smile and I am so thankful for him! I still have some numbness in my fingertips from my carpal tunnel and the pinched nerve in my hip is still there but not as severe. PP bleeding stopped at around 3 weeks but I still get a spot here and there.
I do feel though that I can't catch up on stuff..haven't done the birth announcements etc..that bugs me.

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
Lauren is 5 weeks old today and she is just precious!! I couldn't have asked for a better baby. She eats and sleeps and only cries when she is hungry and i can't get her bottle fast enough. She is 9 pounds 11.5 ounces as of last thursday and 22.5 inches long. She is putting on some serious weight. It nakes me sad that she is betting bigger already! I was hoping to keep her a little newborn a little longer but it's bound to happen. I have lost 45 pounds (40 of in the first 2 weeks). 10 more to go and im back to pre-pregnancy weight, although my belly is still a little jiggly and full of stretchmarks. I don't think my shape will ever be the same. I hope that will clear up at some point. I am working with a LC to get my milk supply back. DD gets so frustrated when she runs out of milk while she is latched. The staph infection really did a number on my supply. I went from producing 5 ounces from both at a time to 1 ounce at a time. Nipple shields have been awesome but nursing isn't helping increase my supply much, if by thursday it isn't back, LC is going to give me Reglan. I have tried Mother's Milk Tea, Lactate support pills and umpin g every 2-3 hours. Im still pumping to keep that ounces coming at least. But other than, doing great, bleeding stopped at 3.5 weeks and just got my first period this morning. Oh yay!

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
DD is 3 and a half weeks old and i feel Great! I lost all my PG weight (had gained 34 pounds) by 2 weeks PP, but my belly has a different kind of jiggle to it than before DD
Still have some slight PP bleeding, but not much at all. Definitely getting the itch to DTD.. not sure i can hold out for another 3 weeks but, at the same time, i'm also scared for that first time, too
DD is amazing- she sleeps 7 hours straight at night, wakes up for a bottle and diaper change, and then back down for another 3 hours! She hadn't been napping much during the day, but shes starting to get better at that, too!

Shes on a good schedual that she did all on her own. She sleeps from 930pm till 430am every night for the past 2 weeks. I cant believe it. Im not as tired as I was because I make sure I nap when she naps or relax. The cleaning can wait till later! Shes 10 weeks

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
DS will be 3 weeks on Thursday. I'm not back to normal yet, mostly because I'm BF and he eats every 2-3 hours. Keeping up that pace can get overwhelming at times. I'm awake for about 18-20 hours a day, which is highly unusual for me.
I'm recovering from the c-section really well. Much better than I ever expected. Still bleeding, but it's tapering off.
I've lost more weight than I expected to at this point, but I still have 11.5 more pounds to get to my pre-preg weight. I'd like to lose a total of 15 more, but I'm not doing anything other than BF to lose the weight. The doritos with lunch and the ice cream I had after lunch doesn't help though.
The swelling in my feet is starting to go down. That's exciting. I haven seen the bones in my feet and ankles in months. Now if only I could get my wedding ring back on.....

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
Lillly is now 10 weeks old, you may remember she was born quite early, at 32 weeks. She is very healthy, growing like a weed thank goodness. It seems as though she's taking after her big sister & has colic, so she cries a LOT lately, so it's been a bit stressful, but I'm just thankful she's healthy. I had a VBAC & the recovery was great! I still have a little less than 10 lbs to lose (UGH). I'm pretty much housebound since she's a preemie so I haven't been getting out & about (besides some recent walks now that the weather is nice). I was also on hospital bedrest a month prior to having her & became weaker so I guess my body is just going to need a little more time to adjust & lose the last bit of weight. Despite that I do feel quite good!

Re: moms of NBs - How are we feeling!
7 weeks and doing great...the first few weeks was rough for me but she was great! As far as weight I have no idea (dont have a scale and dont want one, although I am curious) I just know I have a lot to go. I've been trying to get out and walk as much as possible. We do have our bad moments but so worth it...damn gotta go
