Moms of spring/summer babies (before 2007)
When they first started walking, what shoes did you buy for them? Katherine was a fall baby and started walking in October, so these were her shoes...
However, if Abby follows suit, then she'll be walking by June...anyway, at some point in the warmer weather. I hate the thought of sticking her in "shoes" when the sandals look so cute with the summer clothes...I know, I know, the vanity 
So, what did you do?

I always used sneakers in the beginning. Or barefoot. But they may sell walking sandals.

I got good sandals from Striderite. I think heavy walkers are too hot for the summer. She did fine with them.

My middle guy turned one 4/9/6 and started walking about 1wk later. Since the weather was nice I just bought walking sandals from stride rite and if it was a little to chilli for sandals I would put socks on with them. (My aunt hated when I did that  )

Ella had sandals and a sneaker type shoe - both from stride rite. She pretty much lived in her sandals all summer.

We had sandals from Stride Rite, but the toe was closed to protect his feet a little.

I used those shoes you posted. Jordana started walking around 1 year (in April) so we got a few good months out of them.

My dd was 1 on May 2nd and started walking right around then. I bought those in the girls style. She wore them all the way til end of sept.
She was barefoot more though.

Michael was born in August and did not stay really walking until he was 1 and at that time I brought him walking sneakers.

So, what did you do?
Those were Emma's 1st shoes.
I'm wondering the same for Ellie who will be 1 in April. I'm curious to see what other people say - Or bought.
