Moms of toddlers - what's going on? behavior related
FOr the last few days DD has been an emotional mess. Everything little thing sets her off. I wouldn't say she's throwing a tantrum, but starts crying hysterically and when we try to calm her she gets MAD. Maybe that is a tantrum??? But her behavior is generally NOT in response to us saying no - it just happens and we can't figure out why. It's not at a certain time or in response to something specifc.
for example she'll be playing and having fun with us and suddenly she'll just start crying and get MAD.
Is this normal? I feel like we walk on eggshells around her lately.

how old is she? could she be cutting molars? maybe she's experiencing something that she can't figure out or communicate to you what it is and she is just frustrated.
Could she be jealous of someone/something?

Well, quite honestly, it's normal. Ava has mood swings all the time. I would make sure she's not getting sick because that could be a possibility, too, but it's most likely that she's just being a normal 2 yo. It's rough being them They have no filtering process at this age, so what they feel can jsut come out sometimes.

Shana she's 26 months. She communicates well and generally can communicate. Sometimes she gets mad at Jack if he touchs her stuff, but it's not like we were paying to him and not her. But most of time she gets upset he's not even involved in anyway.
I'll check her molars - I don't see her chewing her hands though.
I'm the one frustrated

They get fustrated.. they know they want things but no clue how to tell us what it is or how to say how they feel.. so easiest thing to do is to act out.

OMG this describes DD (19 mos) to a T as of the last few days. I have NO clue what is setting her off - she'll be fine and having fun 1 minute, and the next she's crying hysterically. She's never been one to have teething issues, but it's really the ONLY thing I can think of.
I hope it passes for both of our DDs sooner than later!
