moms who breast feed, & give BOTTLE???
My son doesnt want a bottle at all from me, he finally took one from my DH last night after 5 min. of crying.
What bottles do you give your child??
i am using born free & playtex
any ideas.

both my kids nursed and took bottles. but in both cases they took bottles before nursing at all. (1st due to a long hopsitalization and second because i did the same as my first, since i knew he would take both without issue)
in both cases i used the cheap little evenflow or gerber bottles with the regular opening (not the wide mouth) which match up to the nipples the hospital used. i had the playtex drop ins for my son when he came home from the hospital and he wanted nothing to do with them. he was perfectly happy with the plain boring little nipples from the hospital, so i just got bottles that would be able to use those nipples and things were good.

We use Avent bpa free. Have you tried different speed nipples? Ds is certainly not thrilled with it to start but takes it well after a minute or so. I have to express a little milk from the bottle into his mouth and then that does the trick.

Also, my ped recommended people other than myself giving the first few bottles. They only want one thing from mommy so its best to get used to the bottle before we try. Hth!

We had a lot of trouble getting DD to take a bottle. It was trial & error until we found a bottle she liked. Ultimately she took to Playtex Drop-in latex.

I used Born Free, Playtex, and Dr Browns.....all wide neck. She liked the Playtex the best at first.

I used the Medela on and off at the beginning, switched to Dr. Brown but ended up using the Playtex drop-ins.

He has never rejected a bottle.

DS rejected every darn bottle!! We had tried them all.
It took a few weeks and he liked the regular Gerber bottle with the rubber nipple (he hated the silicone).

I bought no joke like 5 different kinds of bottles...lol I've tried them all, DS is not picky and takes anything I give him...lol
Some I have are gerber, medela, born free, playtex with the necks angled, and avent. good luck!!!

Same here!!!!! We also used the Adiri bottle with some success, but the basic Gerber bottle with the basic rubber nipple he did the best with!

DS is always hungry, so he isn't very picky... but we've used the large born free glass bottles from day one and haven't had much of an issue.
We also have evenflo glass, but the bottle is narrow and gives him a lot of gas
