actually, I take that back.I must have been thinking of another site, I just read it and there a few things on there that he hasn't tried.. Zuchinni is one. I guess I will wait to get the go ahead from the dr. for meats. He goes this Saturday for a shot and the 20th for a checkup.

right - it does say that they do 'allow' for the babies who have been on solids since 4 months....

how are you enjoying making the food???

I waited until a year (my ped rec this) to give DD berries and citrus fruits. She had meat at 9 mos. She had melons at 8 mos. and Kiwi around that time as well.

DS is 7 months but I gave him Blueberries, Honeydew, and Cantelope by 6 months. I was thinking about trying out pasta and mixing with Squash and tomatoe!

Strawberries are highly allergenic. I don't plan to give them before 12 months. I'd probably give blueberries and melons around 8 months. I'd hold off on the tomatoes and oranges until at least 10 months b/c of the acidity. I gabe meat around 8 or 9 months, but that was b/c I was grossed out at the thought of pureed meats. DS started eating it when he could have table food.

Re: Mom's who make your own food... When is it okay to start...

Ped. just OK'd blueberries and meat today @ his visit...he's 9.5 m/o.

We started chicken/turkey at 9 m/o.

She said no tomatoes yet..so I guess no oranges either, since they are both acidic, but I didn't ask about oranges.

If you are looking for something different, have you tried pastina? DS loves it.
