monitoring question

i'm trying not to compare my new doctor to my old one, but i can't help but notice that they do fewer tests. at my old doctor, he did blood and sono at CD 3 and any monitoring appointments leading up to ovulation. then he did just blood 7 dpiui and beta.

at the new doctor, he did blood and no sono on CD3 and sono but no blood at CD 12. we went for the IUI today, and they didn't even take a washed count to verify that the IUI was worth doing (which i always got at the other place). he also said nothing about a 7dpiui blood test to check progesterone levels--just a HPT in 14 days. it just seems a bit...sloppy?

thoughts? experiences?

Re: monitoring question

I get CD3 sono and bw. They never used to do monitoring bw with the sono, but now they do. I trigger so they don't monitor me past that and they don't do any 7dpo bw. I just go for a beta 13dpo. Maybe every Dr. does it differently.

Re: monitoring question

Oh and they never gave me a sperm count. Just this last time they said the specimin was good. DH never had issues so maybe that's why there was no issue. I don't even know what the count was from his initial SA. They just said ti was fine.

Re: monitoring question

thanks for the info! doc emailed me back today and explained why they don't do some of the testing my old doctor did, so i'm feeling more at ease.
