Mortgage Lender Recommendations
We're planning on purchasing in Floral Park really soon --- any recommendations on lenders in general? Our co-op is with Citibank, and that was just a big ol' mess, so def not going with them again.

We have Wells Fargo. Nothing but great things to say about them. Have been around forever and are the most used mortgage company. The rates are awesome right now. We just bought our house 3 years ago and are refinancing.

I always recommend Steve Simpson of U.S. Mortgage Corp., which is a specialty mortgage bank. I think the mortgage banks are, in general, a much better route to go than big banks these days.

You can search for his name on this site. I have referred several LIF'ers to him and I think everyone has been very happy with him. He's knowledgeable and always accessible for his customers, and he's a straight shooter. He truly cares about his customers and will go above and beyond.
