Definitely climate change. We won't get these years back. The clock is ticking.
Healthcare also, although that ship has most likely sailed now that Murkowski has officially flipped - not that it was a surprise.
With pre existing conditions no longer always protected we'll have big problems eventually.
Didn't Trump say preexisting conditions will be covered?
He did.
But if the court rules against ACA it's a moot point. Coverage of pre-existing conditions is out the door. It would be coverage by the option of the insurance companies. So how is Trump going to insure that pre-existing conditions would continue to be covered? Where is a concrete, verifiable plan to replace it?

He did but has not presented a comprehensive health plan that includes coverage of pre-existing conditions. It's just his word at this point.
They both have not presented clear plans.
Plans? It’s too late for plans. Trump had 4 years and a Republican Senate and got nothing done in terms of healthcare. Obama had ACA signed in March 2010, after taking office in 2009.
I’m more than confident that his teammate at the time, Joe Biden, would be a good architect to help fix the non-actions of Mr. Trump in the area of healthcare.
You do realize that Biden won’t last too long in office if he gets elected so you better really like Harris’ plan.
Why is it he can never talk about his plan either?

It’s on Biden’s website if you want to see his plan. Sorry where is trumps? In the blank book from 60 mins?

Why should we believe anything he says? He has lied over and over and over again for 4 years - and don’t say all politicians lie - he has lied beyond anything we have ever seen before. He has had 4 years to present a healthcare plan - he has not. I’m not giving him the benefit of the doubt on such a critical issue.

Exactly. For the first two years the executive and legislative branches were red. They had the votes to pass anything they wanted to. They failed. Enough already - they either don't know what they are doing or they don't care. I suspect it's some combination of the two.
They didn’t even have the votes to repeal the ACA. Which means the republicans would rather have the ACA than nothing. Trump just has a hard on for anything Obama did so that’s why he’s targeting it.
Yes, so true. They tried a few times. I remember the visual of McCain giving the thumbs down. There were some close calls that summer.
It's incredible the harm this guy is willing to do to the American people just to stick it to Obama.
Repubs try this all the time and they never learn. I remember during the Baby Bush years when he was trying to privatize Social Security. Way too much backlash.
They don't get that people actually like a social safety net.

Most important issue for the next 4 years
My financial situation is improved - my husband took a new job with a nice bump - but that has nothing to do with the federal government.
America is doing a lot worse than it was years ago - that’s more important to me than any tax break.

No. We (my personal family) are doing a lot worse with significant decreases in income, not seeing our family for months. Mental and emotional stress. Lost relatives with no ability to properly morn and honor them.

Valentine, you are the worst kind of Republican. Knowingly benefitting from the exploitation of the stupid, brainwashed and/or racists in your party.
My question for you is - do you feel better about yourself now vs 4 yrs ago? How do you look yourself in the mirror?

Hmm. Let’s see. Let me take a look around here.
-most students not in school full-time -over 200k Americans dead in 7 months -a president that’s STUPID AND RECKLESS enough to catch the damn virus , surrounded by morons who also refuse to wear masks -401k in the toilet -most environmental protections are gone -no second stimulus for millions -job losses -if luckily employed, extra stress due to working from home -depression and anxiety are at an all time high
You’re not better off. Be real. You’re still scraping by like the rest of America & can’t afford to miss more than two consecutive paychecks and hoping like hell that you don’t get hit with a giant unexpected expense, like most people. It’s just that you feel connected to someone who tapped into your insecurities but you neglected to see that he exploited them. People working 2-3 jobs, no time to see their family, no healthcare, and can’t take a vacation but MAGA!
But hey, at least you got a red hat.

At least Biden wasn’t stupid enough to catch CoVid, like 20 dopes in the White House. I mean really… We’re in the middle of a global pandemic and those ******* morons can’t even wear masks and host a super spreader event . I can’t even imagine the history books… morons.

A lot of this is due to decisions made at state levels, not federal.
Governors make it hard to go back full time in school.
200,000+ dead, well let’s look at NY and it’s governors decision with nursing homes.
Job losses, open the states up with less restrictions.
Before covid my family was doing so much better, best we have ever been doing. It’s sad that everyone blames trump for EVERYTHING. Deck is stacked against him

I agree with a lot of this - and I can't stand Trump!
My personal feeling - we're F%$#@ either way - it doesn't matter who wins this election. Both choices are horrible in my opinion. I wish there was a viable 3rd party option.

“I love the poorly educated!” - Donald Trump, 2/24/2016
A lot of this is due to decisions made at state levels, not federal.
Governors make it hard to go back full time in school.
200,000+ dead, well let’s look at NY and it’s governors decision with nursing homes.
Job losses, open the states up with less restrictions.
Before covid my family was doing so much better, best we have ever been doing. It’s sad that everyone blames trump for EVERYTHING. Deck is stacked against him

Are you doing better or worse than you were 4 years ago?

Hmm.

I agree with a lot of this - and I can't stand Trump!
My personal feeling - we're F%$#@ either way - it doesn't matter who wins this election. Both choices are horrible in my opinion. I wish there was a viable 3rd party option.
My exact feelings about all of this.

Most important issue for the next 4 years
Cuomo wouldn’t have had to make choices if covid was handled on the federal level. Trump admitted on tape that it was highly contagious and dangerous but still held rallies and called it a hoax and made fun of people wearing masks and silenced doctors. He also suggested bleach injections. And he wasn’t kidding.
Sorry, but over 200k+ Americans dead , gone forever, and acting like it’s just inconvenient is heartless and, frankly, dumb.
3000 people died on 9/11 and the world stopped. It stops each year.
We have over 200k dead here in 7 MONTHS and another 100k projected dead by January and most don’t bat an eyelash and are mad they have to wear masks. “Oh who cares, most live.”

...
He did not even remember Trump's name. They interviewed him and his wife, and he called him George Bush.
or he has a stutter and he was talking to his interviewer, George Lopez....

More Republican "fake news"...
You could write a book on all of the times that trump couldn't remember who he was ACTUALLY TALKING to.... like the CEO of Apple, Tim Apple....

Exactly.
Six figures dead of a disease will never rally red America like 9/11 and its aftermath.
America loves to bomb people. Look where we spend our money.
It also gives many people an outlet for their hatred of brown people.
But they don't really care about the 3k dead either. The hijackers were from Saudi Arabia and Trump cozies right up to them.
They're all a bunch of hypocrites.

He did.
Are you doing better or worse than you were 4 years ago?
I am in fact worse off, but it's not that simple. You're thinking in binary fashion.
There are horrifying seeds being planted right now, mainly related to health care and climate change.
Presidents come and go. The Supreme Court does not. And this scummbag shaped a third of it.
Plus, like others said, I don't only care about myself.
Lastly, almost all of the economic gains in the early years of the presidency were from Obama's policies. It's not a switch that goes off on January 21st.
