Movie themed bridal shower- please give me ideas!
The bride and groom-to-be are big movie people. Even their save the dates were like an invitation to a movie premiere.
The shower will be at a restuarant, so not really needing the big decorations. Just wondering if any of you innovative ladies had any ideas for table decorations, favors, wishing well, invitations, games, etc.

What a cool idea.
For games I would suggest listing actors and actress and matching them to what movie they stared in together.
Ex: Julia Robert and Richard Gere---Pretty Woman.

movie ticket invitations, microwave popcorn and candy favors,
the table #'s can be named after their favorite movies; the games can incorporate movie trivia
theres a whole bunch of things you can do. FM if you need help!

Id think of movies that were either based on weddings of had big wedding scenes in them - you MIGHT be able to get images of the DVD covers by doing a google image search and them use them as centerpieces.

You can have her sit in a directors chair while she opens gifts! (maybe have "Mrs. Last Name" written on the back of it)

i love this idea!!
centerpiece: a simple floral arrangement inside of a movie popcorn container. they sell plastic ones at bed bath and beyond. i think i've even seen them at the dollar store

I love this idea and I think all these ideas are fantastic!
For game prizes, you can give out movie-cash (like the prepaid tickets?)
You can do a version of the dating game but movie themed? What was the first movie they saw together, etc etc and see what the bride and groom know/remember about each other.
Instead of favors, you can buy all different boxes of movie sized candy and give those out with labels? popcorn tubs for favors?

Do different "walk of fame" stars for things they've accomplished together while they've been together
Make her her own star for a cake...or a clapper... wedding, take one, scene one...HER NAME GROOMS NAME?

OH CRAP! I forgot that she doesn't want games. Ok. Any thoughts on dressing up the wishing well? Should I dress it up like a concession stand, or maybe wrap rolls of film off of it?

Thats a great idea to make it look like a concession stand! You can hot glue boxes of candy on the inside so it looks like they're sticking out along the edges. Maybe glue some popcorn pieces all over the outside of it.

I love all these ideas too! Are they doing any kind of movie theme for the wedding? I only ask bc I had a certain theme I was doing and actually got a little upset when my MIL tried to make my shower the same theme. I didn't want to "play-it-out" even before the wedding, lol.
If not, then maybe even a scrapbook that people write in (to say good luck or give advice) and have a bunch of good movie quotes in it.

I would roll out a red carpet ( they sell one) , give out disposable cameras for everyone to play " paparazzi" , maybe give out fake Oscars ( they sell trophies) for "Most Original Gift", " Most LIkely to Lead to Making a Baby" etc...
I would give each table a Wedding movie theme...Maybe cover cardboard boxes in black paper like a tv set and glue a scene from a different movie on each to make it look like a television...
OT also sells Directors clap boards that you can write on and use as centerpieces...
For a favor, I'd give out little packets of microwave or Jiffy popcorn with a couple of candy bars ...
Can you get 2 directors chairs ? Maybe they can open their presents in them and you can write " Bride" on one and "Groom" on the other ?
Can you tell I love planning parties  ?

Does anybody know who can help with invitations? Has anybody seen anything that would look like an invitation for a movie theme?
I see some where we need to write in the info, which I think the other girls are trying to avoid.

No. Their wedding is a typical wedding with no theme.
