Re: Moving far from home

i've done it multiple times. i find that the hardest part is the initial items: changing address, new drivers license, changing car registration. after that, most things happen as needed.
right now, i'm on the hunt for a new dentist.
Totally agree. I moved from queens ny to Hewitt, NJ. About 1.5 hours away. The biggest pain was registering the kids in school, they asked for so much proof of residency it was nuts. Getting my NJ lincese. Finding all new doctors. Was the worst part. Other then that I made friends with neighbors quickly. So far, so great. :)

Re: Moving far from home
i just moved from LI to Arizona at the end of the summer... it has been extremely difficult as far as being so far away from family back on LI. we have been doing the whole new doctors, restaurants, stores, etc thing and that has been fine and even fun, but being so far from family is tough and we are not used to that yet. luckily i had a job lined up, so that was not a problem. the time difference has also been an adjustment as far as being able to call family back home etc. we love it here though. LI just became way too expensive and we did not want to struggle to raise a family there. we love it here.
