My 1st barrage of questions...
How far along were you when your twins were born?
How much did they weigh?
how much weight did you gain?
at any point were you put on bedrest? and why?

i'm still in shock but after 2 days, i've realized this isn't some crazy dream i'm in and need to face reality

38 weeks. I was induced as that's considered full term.
 6 lbs. 6 oz
 5 lbs. 2 oz
About 45 lbs.
No bedrest but I was removed from a very overcrowded cafeteria duty ( ) at 8 weeks because they want you to be off your feet as much as possible. That's when I had to tell my bosses. The joke was, "WOW, now that's an excuse to get out of cafeteria duty!"
I stopped working at week 28.
The ob-gyn practice I went to deals with a lot of multiples. It's standard that they pull women who commute into the city at 22 weeks and nurses/teachers/and other physical "on your feet" professions somewhere around 24-29 weeks.
I remember at week 20 thinking that was crazy, I felt fine and my energy was great. Well, within 3 weeks I was completely counting the days...lol. Walking up a flight of stairs or getting out of the car   I felt like "Jabba the Hut"
You do need to try and take it easy.

This weekend I will be 31 weeks and the doctor is saying I have between 5-7 more weeks to go.
Currently they are weighing almost 3lbs each. To date I gained about 30 lbs.
I stopped working around week 26 doctors orders. I wasnt put on bedrest but my doctor didnt want me commuting to the city anymore.

DS - 6pds 6 ounces
DD - 6pds 2 ounces
how much weight did you gain? 42 pounds
at any point were you put on bedrest? and why?
never on bedrest but told to take it easy.
eta - in the beginning my doctor told me to prepare to stop working after 28 weeks - I didn't stop until 35 - only because I had a desk job and was able to take it easy, my boss was wonderful.

I went 38 weeks with my twins and was induced. I was never put on bedrest but I did stop working at 28 weeks and took it easy after that. The last 8 weeks were very rough, I was so uncomforable, could barely walk, couldn't sleep. I gained about 50 pounds.

I was 37 weeks when I gave birth to my boys. I wasnt put on any bedrest, but stopped working around 30 weeks.
I gained 74 pounds.
Matthew was 5lb. 14 oz
Christopher was 5lb. 13 oz.

My boys were born at 35 weeks, one was 6lbs 10 ozs the other was 3 lbs 10 ozs.
I was not on bed rest, I was told to stop working at 34 weeks becuase of low fluid but after one week it was back up to normal.
I gained 20 lbs.

Oh wow, 20 lbs!! I think I've gained that already and I'm only half there! I'm going to get fat, LOL.....

34.5 weeks
5lbs 7 oz and 3lbs 14oz
about 35lbs
I was put on hospital bedrest at 29 weeks due to cervix shortening..the twins ended up delivering early due to IUGR with one of them. The cervix had nothing to due with it.

I was 39 weeks. My girls weighed 6lbs4 ounces & 5 lbs 10 ounces. I gained 55 lbs. I stopped working at 30 weeks. Mainly because I had a long commute and was a teacher.
I didn't even know I was pregnant until 7 weeks & i was training for a marathon running 18 & 20 miles at a time. I felt my best from weeks 14 until about 28. After that I definitely hit a brick wall. But then towards the last couple
of weeks your energy picks up again.
How are you feeling? I remember being in shock for a very long time.

40 lbs (lost about 25 before I left the hospital to go home)

Yes, I had a shortened cervix. I had to go back to the high risk doctor at 24 weeks to check for something else when they measured it and discovered I had it.

22 weeks..preterm labor.

I was put on hospital bedrest for 4 days becasue my BP spiked , protein in urine and headache that would not go away.. I had my c-section on the 5th day

36 weeks. They took them via c-section because they shared the same placenta and their were some issues going on with their weights and TTTS (which only happens with identicals that share the same placenta).
They were 5 lbs 7ozs and 6lbs. No NICU time needed
I gained 45 pounds
No bedrest, but the last three weeks I could barely walk any longer so I put myself on bedrest.
You're in for a wonderful journey.
