My almost 10th month old is starting finger foods - loves chicken - need ideas
So my DS loooooves chicken. I always give him pieces of chicken that I make for dinner... but I don't make chicken every night. I would LOVE to get frozen chicken to keep in the house so he can have it more often.
BUT I don't really get frozen stuff alot b/c I'm a little nutty with preservatives and sodium.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a frozen chicken that's not fried and has no preservatives and no/low sodium for my 10 month old?
Thanks!

You can get a package of chicken tenders and just cook one a night.
Or get a package of cutlets, cut them into smaller pieces and freeze and pop one out and cook in minutes for dc.

This is what I do. DD does not like chicken nuggets, but will eat cutlets when I make them. Separate them in a ziplock after you buy them

Have you tried making chicken soup yet? Easy to make and freeze in tiny portions.

I know it's not really what you are asking for but, you can make a chicken meatball soup. I just kind of made it up. I think I put garlic and onions, carrots, a can of diced tomatoes, spices, and then I made chicken meatballs (really tiny) with breadcrumbs and eggs. Then I put it all in the pot with some chicken broth and cooked it forever so it was all really soft and at the end I added pastina.

This is a great idea - my DD loves the carrots and celery in the soup too and they get so nice and soft!
Also, keep in mind that your DC can eat other foods you are making now, like meatloaf, or turkey, or fish. So even if you don't make chicken every night, that's fine

Mmmm...that sounds so good. I assume you buy ground chicken for this?

I do give him other stuff,,, but don't want to give him too much meat. I kind of want chicken on hand.
Thanks for your ideas and I definitely will try some - especially the cooking one at a time - I usually buy in bulk and freeze large packages... but does anyone have any suggestions for the frozen/healthy chicken?
