My friend's beta. I'm worried.
Hi ladies,
I wanted to get your opinion...
My friend is 43 and has been trying to get pregnant forever (iuis, IVF etc- failed or m/c.)
They still try on their own and they found out 2 days ago randomly (going in for pre ivf bloodwork!) that she is pregnant.
Her LMP was Nov 2. O'd on/around Nov 16th.
Her beta on Monday (26 dpo) was 730.
I really want to be excitied and positive but I am worried (and id never tell her this) but isnt 730 for 5 weeks pregnant rather low ?
Can someone tell me if their beta was ever that low around that time and had a successful pregnancy?
I want to be excited for her but I have this bad feeling that her number will not double today...I hope I am wrong. I just am so scared to see her be sad again...
Any honest opinions/good stories or comments in general appreciated. I am hoping that my thoughts are wrong.
Thanks!!

Re: My friend's beta. I'm worried.
your basing she's 5 weeks as a textbook... she may have Oed a couple days later.. the embryo may have implanted 6 days later as opposed to 3 days later -- all within normal range...
its really not the initial number that matters but the subsequent number..
many good wishes for your friend!
eta: according to this chart she's well within range!

I hate to have to say this but that is low for 5 weeks. I will that it goes up and all is well!

If this is a natural conception there is no way to know when she O....she could have O later that month.....let's hope that is the case
for 5 weeks that beta is very low..it should be in the 2000's....

At 5w2d, my beta was only 1990 and everything was fine. She could be off by a day or so and still be pretty close to that.
I hope her numbers continue to rise!!
