thanks everyone.
now, he can rest in peace and be re-united with his two eldest children, who both passed within the past year.
i do take comfort in knowing that my father is dealing with it ok. it was no surprise, but it's still always a bit sad.
again, thank you for all the kind words.
 i'm happy that sharing his character with you all, brought a few smiles. he was a hoot!
