Fertilization results are in... of the 13 retrieved, only 8 were marure, and only 5 fertilized.

My RE is only aiming for 6 embryos so I wouldn't be upset yet. It only takes one so to me, 5 sounds like a pretty good number. At least you're coming down the home stretch now!

It only takes ONE good egg, remember that! At my retrieval they only got 9 eggs. 2 were immature, 2 didn't fertilize, so we ended up with 5 fertilized - put back two and froze the remaining 3, and here I am with a 4 month old sleeping next to me as I type. 5 is still a good number

Thank you everyone.
I know it only takes one, but I was really hoping to have a bunch to freeze. I was OK with this possibly not working knowing I would have some frozen embryos. But now that may not be the case.

Transfer done! We put back 2 embryos. The doctor said one was an "early blast" and one was a "full blast".
We lost one of the embryos, so we have 2 remaining. I hope they will both be able to be frozen.
