my update
i spent the entire day in the ER.. the only reason is because i needed rhogam and my doc didnt have it. i got there at 10:45am and checked myself out at 8:30pm, STILL with no ultrasound. i know that it's not their fault and the staff at winthrop is really amazing, but so unnecessary at an emotional time. i did get an exam and the shot, and i will call my doc in the morning to go in for the ultrasound at the office. the gyn told me that it seems that my body passed it all on its own and that my cervix was closed and my uterus was smaller than it should be at 6 weeks. but of course ill know more tomorrow.
with that being said, i think it helped me feel all of the emotions. i was there for most of the time alone (which i opted for) and i cried on and off and thought a lot about what happened. i really came to grips with it and i am so hopeful for the future. i truly believe that there is a plan for us, i always have, so this is part of it. my dh and i both feel like we learned a lot from this and that's the beauty of the circle of life.
i want to thank you all for being so supportive and caring through this. it's why i've been a part of this site for 10 years.
i also want to pray for all of the other ladies going through miscarriages, still births, infertility, etc. i felt pain these past few days, but i know others are feeling worse and my heart aches for them.
thank you again ladies, and lots of good things to come for all of us! god bless you all

I am so sorry for your loss. I just had a mc in September so I know how hard it is. If you ever need to talk, feel free to FM me. I found what helped most was to talk to someone who has been through it themselves.
