I dont like rhyming names but I like names that flow or go together.

My name is Carissa my brother is Christian, when we were called Cariss and Chris by my parents it was annoying but we both learned to answer to both Chat Icon

I am Melissa M(married last name)
My DH is Mike M
We both really liked Mason, but felt weird if one child did not have the M and everyone else did so we named our twins Declan and Ronan. So I am not a fan I guess?

I think Declan and Ronan are a perect match even if they weren't for twin boys. Imo they have to correlate.
I know someone who has a girl named DolceAnna and a son named Greyson.Chat Icon

I have all A names but it wasn't done on purpose. My first DD's name was set before I even ovulated. It was her name forever. My 2nd DD came 7 years later and all the names I was picking were different letters. I didn't even think to go with an A. The name we agreed on just happened to be an A.
When we had a 3rd girl, DH insisted she have an A name too. Same thing with the baby.
If I had a son, his name wouldn NOT of been an A name.

I think Mason and Logon go great but something like Greyson and Mason are not so good.
Another no go is Ava and Kayla or Reily and Kylie.
Jake and John work.
Rhyming is no good but same inital doens't bother me obvioulsy.

I personally rule out all names that sound like or rhyme with my existing kids names. (Even if I love the name)

me too.

Im not the one to ask....

I have a Jaedyn and a Caden....

Without trying to totally confuse you my DH has a Kayleigh and a Caden...

I have to tell you...

It really doesnt matter in the long run. It really doesnt. They are individuals no matter what you name them.

Re: Naming both kids something similar (like, Ted and Ned)...thoughts please.......

My daughter's name is Kiera and we also loved the name Kayla but I felt like they were way too close so if we had another girl she was probably going to be Kathleen and we were going to call her Katie for short. To me Kiera and Katie sound cute. I wasn't looking for the same initial but it was just the name that we liked.

We wound up with a son and named him Alexander. For the most part we call him Xander. Rhyming names are not for me and very similar names are not for me either. But I do agree that the names have to kind of go together in some way.

DS's nicknames both end in the same sound. It's not so bad though.

what's worse is the dog's name also ends in that sound and the poor guy thinks he is always being called for a treat! or getting in trouble Chat Icon

I have two girls Kayla and Keira. Their names are similar to me but not too close. I say as long as it isn't so close they are almost the same name, go for it.

I'm Gina... and my sister is Christina...

Growing up, we answered to the others name just to mess with Mom!!!

It wasn't so bad, just a bit confusing sometimes...
