need advice Re: car seats..sorry long
Ok sorry this is long.
Right now I have a car seat i nmy car for dd that goes to 50lbs and one for ds that goes to 40lns. We have the same setu p in dh car.
My plan was to trade in the seats that only go to 40 and get 2 graco nautilis 3in1 . One for each car for dd and would put my ds in the one that goes to 50lbs. She is big and he tends to be smaller so this set up shoud last us a while.
Now.. my friend just offered me for free her birtax regant that geos to 80lbs for the 5 point harness( graco goes to 65 then conbverts to full back booster then just a botom seat booster).
I cant find teh britax at BRu ( where i want to take advanatge of the trade in deal) . I found it online for 159.00.
I was thinking of buying teh britax on line for 159. So now I woudl have one for each car and then tradingin my other seats for 2 garcos which go to 65 or do i keep the ones that have that go to 40lbs?
What is more economical in the long run?
ETA I was more looking for opinions on which situation would last more given the weight limits.

Personally, I wouldn't take hand me down seats, even if you know they haven't been in accidents, you never know what has happened to them.

Normally I never would but I know she hardly used it and no accidents.

ITA .....I will accept hand downs on most things but as far as a car seat I got all new ones I felt safer that way.....but thats just me....
