Re: Need healthy breakfast ideas
usually cereal (this week it's honey nut cheerios) with some kind of fruit in it and organic skim milk. on the weekends i sometimes have toast with it or oatmeal instead of cereal.
the carnation instant breakfast is good for when i'm in a rush or when i had morning sickness. i prefer the chocolate.

Re: Need healthy breakfast ideas
i also have a really good recipe for healthy breakfast cookies (they sort of taste like oatmeal raisin, but better!) if you want. it might be sweet enough to help with the nausea but they're still healthy. fm me if you'd like it.

Re: Need healthy breakfast ideas
my favorite breakfast lately is: one whole egg on a whole wheat english muffin with a piece of cheese (and sometimes a piece of canadian bacon) with a glass of OJ
It gives me protein, carbs, dairy, and fruit! Mmmmm.....

Re: Need healthy breakfast ideas
When I had ms, one of the only things I could eat in the am was nutri-grain waffles with a little syrup and gatorade. About an hour later, I would eat a banana. I hope you feel better!

Re: Need healthy breakfast ideas
Believe it or not, in the 1st tri I would eat an apple in the am for both nausea and sleepiness (instead of coffe). I don't know what it is about apples that I think I've heard are good for both...worked for me.
Maybe an apple with some PB when you feel up to it (I know some drs say no PB, but mine didn't say anything about it).

Re: Need healthy breakfast ideas
Usually Fruit&Fiber type cereal or a banana and peanut butter on ryvita (do we have ryvita in the states? it's like rye crisps)
Sometimes if I'm in a hurry it's a yogurt and a banana - today it was a granola bar and a banana. I do lots of snacking though, so I had an apple at 11:00, which is normal for me.
If I had a stove at the moment (redoing kitchen) it would probably be scrambled egg whites on whole wheat toast or oatmeal.

Apples also helped to get rid of the awful taste in my mouth for a bit!
