Why are you upset?

You aren't being straight to the point with her.. she isn't a mindreader and has a gazillion things going on right now that quite frankly, your situation is the last thing on her mind.. If I was her, I'd be thinking that you're trying to blow me off and not what the real problem is.. so just come out with it and tell her...beating around the bush isn't solving your problem! if that's the case, then what's the problem? you said he takes bottles.. so just leave him with your mom..

She doesn't want to leave him for 3 days. Stated in OP.

I know.. I'm a big wuss LOL. I know she doesn't want to be bothered with this, so I just feel bad, ya know? I just know if it were me, I would DEF tell her to bring her DC. It's HER wedding though, not mine, so I have to deal. After giving it some thought and reading everyones responses, bringing him to the wedding just isn't an option. It's all fine and dandy now, but on the day of, I'm going to be going nuts... I already know that.

My parents can only watch him Satuday night into Sunday. I think I've decided to skip the RD and just go up Saturday morning for all the wedding festivities an d get a sitter for the daytime.

Just tell her....if you're close enough w/her to be in her bridal party, I'm sure you two can figure out an arrangement that works for the both of you. Chat Icon

odd man out here...i would just bring baby.
maybe she won't understand now...but one day she will.

why should you have to sit home and stress this upcoming wonderful event in your bff's life?

it is a baby, not a barking dog...not a screaming toddler...not an underage drinking tween.

Can you bring DH?

I would bring both of them. The two of them stay at the hotel.

You will need BFing breaks also. You cannot go the whole day/reception without pumping. My sister tried that. Engorgement, mastitis. The party was longer than she thought.

Re: Need some opinions! OOT Wedding - WWYD?

She is your best friend. I would just ask her.

I would be prepared to have DH stay in the room with DC. We went to a few weddings when DS was 4m old. He was invited but we still chose not to bring him. At one wedding OOT wedding, DH didn't attend the ceremony and reception and went back to the room with DS.

Maybe my DH just isn't into weddings but he wouldn't mind watching DS while I went to the rehearsal dinner, wedding, etc. You could BF/pump before you leave the room. No big deal.
