Need specifics to sleeping for a 10 month old...
I am a little concerned. I dont know which avenue to blame this on but DD has been up almost all night for the past few days and various other nites the past few weeks. #1 Totally could be teething #2 Sleeps at the sitters from 12-30-330...is this too long? #3 Maybe I am not structuring bedtime correctly...how can I do it better? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks so much!

Re: Need specifics to sleeping for a 10 month old...
Someone just told me that their sleep gets interrupted right before a major milestone is about to take place. Walking maybe?

This could totally be a reason too!
To address your other potential causes:
1) Teething - did you try giving her a little tylenol when she wakes up? If she calms down and goes back to sleep it very well could be teething.
2) Long naps - I'm not so sure. They are still young. Hannah naps from until 5pm sometimes and still goes down at 7:30.
3) I definitely have a night time routine. Home by 5:30. Depending on the weather we either take a 45 minute walk or just play. Around 6:15 or so we have dinner. Finish dinner around 6:50, play until 7:10, then bath, book, bottle, bed no later than 8pm.
I've NEVER had a problem with getting her to sleep by 8pm. She's programmed now (knock on wood), but she does have some nights where she doesn't sleep. For me 9 times out of 10 she's sick. She's fine all day, but if she doesn't sleep at night she's always had an ear or sinus infection. Does she have or recently have a cold?

Paulette, We seem to be having this problem too!
She has slept all night since she was 2 months old. All of a sudden, she screams when we put her in her crib. Our #1 problem was we were not giving her a structured bedtime. It was kinda likw, well, when she falls asleep, she falls asleep
Now, it is bottle and bed by 9:00. So far, it is working!
