If you called within a month and they keep giving you problems Ask to speak to supervisor And if still issues call the state - I believe there is a state controller of insurance there is an agency and you can call and complain It’s ridiculous On top of the stress of pregnancy and child birth who wants to deal with this nonsense
Thanks for that info! Yes I know I can't believe we are dealing with this! We went on the website the guy told him that has all the information and it says as long as you notify by calling, writing or emailing then you have 60 days to get the birth certificate in. We are well within the 60 days still. I'm hoping they come to their senses today and this all goes away ugh!

Re: New baby's birth certificate :UPDATE:help
To get our children covered, we had to notify at birth and provide the hospital discharge papers or something along those lines to prove birth date. Once the birth certificate arrived, we needed to provide that.

New baby's birth certificate :UPDATE:help
I'm pretty sure all we had to do actually was call- no additional paperwork was required to be (but we do have to provide a SSN now that we have one for him).
Sometimes the insruance companies record calls "for quality assurance" -- so hopefully they have it recorded and can find the conversation....I'd ask them about that.

Re: New baby's birth certificate :UPDATE:help
Its been a while but same shit happened to me with my 2nd baby. Birth certificate was late all my bills were denied. I had to call all my providers and had them resubmit any bills that were denied.

Thanks for all the replies! They did have the call recorded so they must have looked it up when we told them the time and date. The guy who was the manager called dh back and said he is gong to approve it all since dh called within the 30 days. I'm angry they put us through this the last 20 hours or so, but what a relief!
