New here (for a 2nd time) and a CBFM question...
Hi girls... Been crashing on this board for the last month or so but am ready to officially introduce myself. Going to start TTC next month for baby #2. I have a 11 mo old DD...always said I'd be ready to try for #2 when DD turns a year...can't believe that time is almost here. A year goes so fast. I loved being pregnant and am so looking forward to that journey again...
So my question is - well, quick background. I stopped BCP end of Feb. I wanted a few cycles off before TTC. March and April I had very normal cycles...I used the CBFM to see when I ovulated. For baby #1 I had the most off the wall cycles - crazy long - nothing wrong with me, no PCOS or anything...just wicked long cycles. I ovulated on cd53 when I conceived DD. So here I am - 3rd cycle off BCP and I am now on day 6 of high fertility on the monitor...anyone ever seen this before? Did it miss my O or have I not O'd yet? I'm of course starting to stress and get upset that this is happening now when I want to start TTC next month...I'm worried my crazy long cycles are starting to kick in. Any thoughts on seeing the high (2 bar) reading for that many days? I thought I had EWCM the other day...so I definitely thought ovulation was coming. So confused.
Thanks for listening. Hope everyone's stay here is short! Good luck to all!

This is my 1st cycle using CBEFM and I had high readings from CD9 to CD24. No peak readings at all. I'm currently on CD48. I generally have 50-60 day cycles. Is this your first cycle using the monitor this time around?

WOW why does it give so many days of a high reading? I don't understand?
Nope I used the monitor my 1st 2 cycles off BCP (this is 3rd cycle). I had 2 or 3 days of high each time...then Peak for 2 and high again for 2 days both cycles...very normal cycles. This is late now this cycle to be getting no peak reading. However...last time (1st pregnancy) I had crazy long cycles like you. But I was hopeful this time would be different b/c those 1st 2 cycles were so normal.

Re: New here (for a 2nd time) and a CBFM question...
i got high fertility from CD 6 - CD 21 w/ no peak the first time i used the cbefm but in the next cycle, i had a peak on CD 10 and CD 11 in the 3rd cycle. what i've read is it takes the cbefm a cycle to get to know your levels so the first cycle may be kinda off but by the 2nd or 3rd cycle, you should be getting some peak readings...

The CBFM can take about 3 cycles before it gets to "know" you. Since you're coming off of BC it can take a while for your cycles to regulate so you may be o-ing later for this cycle.
When I used it, I had high readings from CD10 and reached my peak on CD 21 for two months. This month I got my peak on CD19.

wow ok that is good to know - thanks! it's just so frustrating that i had 2 totally normal cycles (normal meaning right around 30 days...ovulated both times) and now this cycle...the one before I want to start TTC, it's getting longer.
