I am so sorry you are going through all this. Remember to try to take some private time for yourself. Because if you get sick than you will be no good to Dh or DC. Take a bath at the end of the day. Just have some quiet time and remember you have all of use to help with the stresses. Vent all you want. That's what we are here for.

you have to be strong now for your family, but remember to let it out. whether it be a screaming fit in an empty parking lot or a letter written to no one but yourself or leaning on the shoulder of a good friend. you are doing a great job, you are in my thoughts and prayers

Lauren, thanks so much for the update...
Please know you are in all of our thoughts and prayers .... I'm so sorry that you have to go through any of this, but as everyone else has said, you are one amazing woman to be getting through such a horrible time with such strength. Please turn to us if you need ANYTHING at all!

I am so sorry
I am going through something very similar with my DH...chemo 2x/week, I think I've been to CVS at least 2x a day for the past week to drop off/pick up scripts, calling insurance co's, handling disability with his job, all the housework, 95% of the child care, taking notes at every Dr's appt (and there are ALOT), keeping track of all the meds, etc...
Just today alone I'll be at 4 different Dr's offices between DH and the kids...
I am overwhelmed, exhausted, but so thankful to have my husband. I don't know how long our "forever" will be...but I am trying my hardest (and at times it IS hard) to appreciate every second of "now".

I'm in NJ too, not sure where you are exactly, but I'd be happy to help you with anything...laundry, cleaning up, grocery shopping, whatever.

You are an amazing, strong person. I've watched friends go through this and I know the toll it takes on them. Do what you need to do for yourself so you can stay strong for him. And remember positive thinking is a hugely important part of recovery. I know it's difficult, but important. And maybe look into alternative treatments (some people swear by juice - there's a book called the PH Miracle that explains it all - we actually have a friend who had - yes had - brain cancer and she is totally cancer free - they attribute it to vegetable juice). It may not be right for you, but maybe there are other things that are.
One other thought - is there a relative or friend who can stay with you for a while? Even just to have someone around to help with the little things can be enormously helpful.
My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your family.
