Newborn and a 2 1/2 yr old troubles (getting out of bed).....NEED ADVICE
I just had a baby last Sunday :) and my 2 1/2 DD who was napping great before I gave birth now is climbing out of bed and walking around room during nap time, telling me she doest want to nap, sitting up in bed and talking... She DID NOT do this before and she started while I was in the hospital... I dotn know what to do??? i have a video monitor and i can see when she gets out and i yell at her to get back in bed but she does it day after day... i end up rubbing her back to get her down which can take 20 -30 mins that i dot have bc i have DD #2 to take care of...How do i get her back to where she just went down... i dotn know what to do?? any advice is greatly appreciated THANKS
PS...shes doesnt do this at night time

OMG Congrats! Did you go earlier than you were supposed to?
No advice on the napping - sorry!

what we did was adjust DSs nap time.
congrats on your newborn.
my DD is 10 weeks old, and DS is 2 years.
he used to nap from 11:30-2, since DD came home he started napping from 1:30-4.
maybe you need to adjust her naps.
Also we let DS play in his room if he doesnt want to sleep and then within a half hour he just climbs back into bed and goes to bed

Absolutely no help here - DD was 27 months when DD #2 was born and as soon as we transitioned her to her toddler bed - naps went out the window (she napped 2x a day up until she was almost 2).
I have found now that she will usually fall asleep on the couch - especially if I encourage it (why don't you lay down on the pillow, do you want your blanket, etc.) since she still desparately needs to nap.
I think it is just a big adjustment for them - maybe roll with it and see what happens.
