Newborn sleeping position
Anyone elses newborn simply refuse to sleep on their back?????
He will sleep in his carseat, swing, bouncy seat....on mommy, on daddy, a sister or two..
BUT
Lay this kid down on his back and FORGET IT!!! We've tried the swaddle (I can swaddle like nobodies business!!), he will fuss and then cry fuss and then cry...we've tried our bed...the floor...NOPE. If he is lying on his back he is simply not a happy man.
He will, at 3 weeks old, roll himself to his side and almost onto his tummy if he is not swaddled...
Any suggestions are welcome..TIA

sleep positioner? I used this when dd was a newborn and put her on her side...she loved to be in that position and it worked wonders getting her to sleep like a champ

Re: Newborn sleeping position
I second the sleep positioner even if you want to keep him on his back, but make sure its one that is shaped like a wedge...maybe he just wants his head elevated like it is in the swing or the bouncer. We had DD on one of these and elevated her crib since with the reflux she just screamed and screamed when she was on her back. Elevated she was fine.
Or you can wedge a receiving blanket under one of his sides so he doesn't roll onto his tummy in the crib.
