Newport/area hotels

Does anyone have any recommendations for any hotels in or around Newport RI that are budget-friendly? It’s just for me and dh. We unfortunately need to keep at or under 300/night. Dh gets weirded out by bed-and-breakfast type places so I guess bigger places would be appreciated! Tia!

Newport Beach Hotel and Suites. Really nice hotel right across the street from the beach and a great restaurant.

Thanks for the suggestions! We just booked the Marriot for the first weekend in May - our anniversary weekend! Just hope it’s not TOO chilly but it was before rates went up!

sorry to jump on your post like this, but I was thinking of going for a weekend with DH and DD. What is there to do though? I hear alot of people say it's a nice place to visit, but I'm wondering if it's better to go alone with Dh and not take DD

I’ve also stayed at the Howard Johnson when Marriott was booked or crazy $$$. Also a great hotel, though further from stuff. Great deal for the $
