I was wondering the same thing... They did mention earlier that NYC schools would most likely be open.
We weren't hit as hard as other areas and I'm anticipating a delay.

Yeah I asked because school closings on LI are a district by district thing.
So I can't see the news saying ALL schools are open tomorrow.
Unless they are talking about NYC

I work at a Catholic school in Queens, my kids go to a Catholic school in Nassau. We got texts from both schools saying they will be closed tomorrow.

Someone posted that sachem is closed too but I haven't seen confirmation
And the News 12 site is awful!
Take a look at the closings for today. None of the districts are listed, yet we were all closed.
They only list religion ed programs, colleges, daycares.
So I don't trust them one bit.
Sachem loves to do double snow days, so yeah I am banking on them being closed again.

Yep, just got the call from Sachem.
No school again tomorrow.
I am worried too because how many snow days do we have built in? It's only early Jan and 2 are gone.
I hate to have to give up days during nice weather breaks.
God I fuking hate winter.

We got our delay call as well.
And now the texts and emails are coming...
Hoping it stays as a delay since one of the districts next to us is closed

There are a bunch of Suffolk Districts closed tomorrow.

You have to scroll through and look closely, because today's closing are mixed in with tomorrow's. It's not entirely up to date yet. I checked two different districts (Smithown & NPT/ENPT) that aren't on the list as closed tomorrow, but the district websites say that they are.

Merrick is closed, which means no daycare tomorrow. And I have to go to work. Great. Is anyone actually off tomorrow besides LI teachers? Obviously city teachers are not. What are parents supposed to do with their kids?
I want to know why the freaking city can look like it never snowed and LI can't even plow the main roads. Does TOH have plows? Seriously, do they own plows? I have never seen one, in almost 4 years. My mom called to tell me that her street in Queens has been plowed SEVEN times. They live on a 1 way street in Middle Village that no one drives down.

My in laws live in Bayside and they said their roads are awful. They don't know what the main roads are like, but the side roads are a mess. Plows did come by, but the only thing they accomplished was plowing in cars parked on the street. MIL said their should not be school for NYC kids tomorrow. It will be unsafe.
