Nightmares/Night terrors....help!

DD is 15 months

She always STTN, we just heard her SCREAM/SCREECH so loud, DH went up, opened the door....she was still asleep


then all quiet again....now 2hrs later

Is this normal? Do they have nightmares/night terrors at this age?

yes! this happened to my DD. She was a sleep still but with her eyes opened and screaming and crying that it totally freaked me out. I called the pediatrician and he said it was probably a nightmare or night terrors. He aslo said that i should leave her alone bc if i pick her up its going to make it worse bc they are still asleep and they will try and fight you and that is exactly what happened to my DD. when i picked her up she was trying to crawl up my shoulders and there was nothing that i could do to comfort her :(. this happened i think twice and hasnt happened again so i am hoping that is the end of it but my doc said that this can continue to happen.
