nighttime nursing and changing diaper
If you have your baby in your bedroom for nursing. After you nurse, where do you change the diaper? Do you do it right on the bed or go into a separate nursery? I'm going to keep my twins in a cosleeper next to the bed for easier nursing, but wondering if I need to go into their nursery to change their diaper. I don't want to wake DH up everytime I nurse/change them because he will have to go to work the following day.
Any advice?

Re: nighttime nursing and changing diaper
Because the changing table was in his bedroom (DS) I would change him in there. My DH could sleep through WWIII so, it depends on that. DS would scream so loud so if your DH is a light sleeper or not a heavy sleeper maybe bring them into the other room just to change them.

I changed him right on our bed. I'd put down a blanket that I used just for that.

Re: nighttime nursing and changing diaper
I'd plan to do changes in another room if you want to let DH sleep. In the beginning DD screamed through diaper changes, it was th only time she really screamed. Now at 5 months she laughs and squeals through them. MUCH more pleasant but certainly not quiet.

Re: nighttime nursing and changing diaper
Since DD tended to fall asleep while nursing I changed her before hand right on the bed on top of one of her blankets. It was one of the joys of nursing never had to set a foot out of bed.

I change DD in her room. She has projectile poop...so if she did that on the bed I would have to change the sheets. I can't risk having to do that in the middle of the night.

Right in his pack n play, but that's because his changing table is one floor down from our bedroom, and I don't like the idea of carrying a squirmy baby downstairs when I'm groggy.
It's been fine, though he's peed a few times and we've had to change the sheets.

Re: nighttime nursing and changing diaper
I always moved the party into the living room. My baby pooped with every feeding. I was way too uncomfortable to nurse in bed, my boobs were too big.
