Nikon D60 Owners
Quick question for you - I noticed that my camera doesn't take pictures as fast as other people's cameras. If I got a high speech memory card for it, would that solve the problem?
Thanks so much for your help!

Re: Nikon D60 Owners
What do you mean? Mine is really fast, when I push down the button to take a pic I instantly hear the click of the shutter, no delay... yours has a delay?

Re: Nikon D60 Owners
In auto mode I think it takes a little longer if you are using the built in flash as opposed to an outdoor shot. Also there is a rapid fire mode.. is that what you mean?

Re: Nikon D60 Owners
Yes, mine has a delay and it's getting me so frustrated since I thought DSLRs are usually fast. I'm wondering if it is because I'm using a flash? (not an add-on flash, just the flash on the camera). My rapid fire mode isn't even that fast. I hope there's nothing wrong with my camera!
Can you tell me what kind of memory cards you have? Are they high speed cards?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Nikon D60 Owners
I have a D50 and I have 2 shooting modes. The one shot and the continuous mode. I'd refer to your manual to make sure you have the camera in continuous fire mode. I would explain it here, but I know the D60 is pretty different from the D50 I have.

Each of the digital vari-modes (portrait, landscape, child, sports, close-up, landscape, etc.) should be capable of shooting in either single frame (which is usually set as the default) or continuous (burst mode). I can change my shooting mode on my D50 by pressing a button and scrolling the command dial. The D40 and D60 are different, so you will need to read the manual to find out how to change the setting - probably in a menu. I think they are referred to as release modes...
