NJ Transit train accident
anyone hear about a train collision?
my DH just text me that it's breaking news but I can't find anything...

News 4 mentioned it, they didn't have a lot of information though. They did say there was likely mass casualties. So sad.

I always sit in the front car of the LIRR train and my DH yells at me for doing that.............he says I should sit in one of the middle cars...I just don't think about that happening..so sad

PATH train accident
Sending prayers for all affected. Derailments are happening far too often.
I hope they get to the bottom of what happened. I can't help but wonder if there is connection to the bombs they found at the Elizabeth station related to the Chelsea attack. :/

Yes!! Actually the first several cars they said after the Amtrak incident will get the brunt. The front will crash and the next few cars will derail from the force! The back for us!!

For nyc subway alwayssss sit in the first or last car. It's an easy escape out of a station. There are stairs located when you get out and you probably won't get trampled.

I used to always sit in the front too. My station is small and only the first 4 cars platform. Not anymore. My good friend's husband was riding in the first car on the Metro North train that hit the car in Valhalla last Feb. He is lucky to be alive but is still recovering.
