Prayers for all!! Watching the news,They said the train was running late. They usually come in at a speed of 20mph, but it looked to be going almost 50 or more. So so sad!! I pray there aren't many fatalities.

It's not a PATH train,it is regular NJ Transit

So sad - I commute on the Pascack Valley line 4x a week (on an earlier train). Thankful to be working from home today.

I often wonder about that. I know on a plane there is always a co pilot, God forbid something happens to the pilot rendering him unconscious.
On a train it's just the one engineer.

Well, they said the "dead man pedal" is supposed to prevent accidents like this. Who knows what happened here though

My subway stop is exactly like that.. We stop at a brick wall. I've often thought something like this could happen but I still sit in the front car... Not anymore! I feel so bad for these people. It's so sad and scary.

Yes - there is a large walkway and then a waiting room (the building it hit).
A lot of people stand in the first car pulling into Hoboken because you can only exit in the back of the car - and they say the train was short so the car was more crowded.

you can see the lines. It left the Secaucus station, and was going to the Hoboken station. There are no tracks past the Hoboken station
