Not a great doctor's appointment today - 31 weeks...
I've been pretty swollen since early on in my pregnancy (mostly my fingers and hands) and in the past two or so weeks, I've had swollen eyes, legs, feet, etc.
Yesterday I woke up looking almost deformed... like I was in a boxing match. Half my face was swollen, the other was beyond swollen and puffy.
Well, at my 31 week appointment tonight, my fears were confirmed. They found the highest level of protein in my urine and I gained TWELVE lbs, yes, 12, in 3 weeks. They believe it's all water weight from the swelling. Thankfully my pressure is normal so they're not calling it pre-eclampsia yet, but the doctor said she is "very concerned and this is the start of something so we have to keep a very close look at things". ..... 
It's so weird because for the last two weeks I've had this very strange, almost irrational fear of going into very early labor - no real reason for it, but just this kinda dreadful feeling that I would go WAY early. And now to hear that I might be developing pre-e and of course the only "cure" is to deliver the baby. I just want the baby to be ok and safe and to cook as long as possible!!!!
So now I have to pick up a collection jar tomorrow and do a 24 hour urine collection. Then drop it off on Thursday and get my blood drawn and pressure taken again. I hate to even ask, but if anyone can spare some good vibes, I would really appreciate it!

Hang in there! I had a friend who had her baby at 31 weeks due to pre-eclampsia and her baby is a healthy and happy 4 year old!
Take it easy. I will keep you in my prayers.
