I was confirmed, etc.. Roman Catholic...what else does the church require? For example, we were not married in a church, and Dh was not confirmed...

I think you just need proof that you are both catholic. We weren't married when our son was baptised. So that shouldn't be a problem. Did your husband make his communion? If you have proof of that then I think that is enpugh.

You don't even need to both be Catholic. I am not and all of my kids have been baptized as Catholics. As long as one parent is, it is okay. Generally, the feeling of the Church is that they don't "punish" the children (by denying them rites) because of the parents.

My husband and I did not get married in a church and we baptized both are children. The only thing you may need proof about is the godparents.

dh and i were married in good old vegas.. ds was baptized last year without an issue.. though they tried to convince us to renew our vows in the church... which would include a new marriage license and going through precana... no thank you

DH is not catholic so we did not get married in the church. it was not a problem having DS baptized but they did try and convince us to get married in the church.

from what I am learning - all churches are different.

Some stricter than others.

U not being married in a church I don't think is a problem.

I have been finding its more about the Godparents and whether or not they have been confirmed.

I wasn't confirmed at the time we baptized DD (I am now) and we didn't get married in a church but we had no problems. It's the god parents they are sticklers about.
