but i am pregnant, so its not helping...
my dog was just diagnosed with cancer- he has it everywhere and is going to die. the vet sent him home with pain meds so he can rest comfortably.
He is a big lab mix, the best dog ever, DH and I adopted him 12 years ago this coming Feb when he was just a few weeks old. He is like my first son.
Im so sad, i cant keep it together right now, im hysterical at my desk.

there is no way to adequately prepare for a pets' death.....and there are no words to express how sorry i feel for you.....you will be in my thoughts & prayers.

Losing a pet is one of the worst feelings in the world. And the worst is when people who don't have pets look at you like you're crazy. I am so sorry for you and hope that your dog lives out his final days in peace with you guys at his side. It's important for them to know that you're there to comfort them.

Thanks everyone. I knew he wouldnt live forever, but knowing that he is sick and that his days are numbered makes it so much harder.my 16 month old just started saying his name :(

I'm so sorry
I just lost two dogs (16 years old and 13, they died within two days of each other).
Loosing a pet is very difficult and I'm glad you have your DH for support.
