*Not So Good Update*. My Dr. Zapantis Visit and The Plan
As a reminder, I had a DD almost 5 years ago through IVF. Then 2 1/2 years ago I had a FET which resulted in a very early miscarriage. I have 3 frozen embies.
I am back again and with a vengance!!! I met with Dr. Zapantis who was a DR at my former clinic, East Coast-now LI IVF. I LOVEEEE Dr. Z. His staff seem really great too.
Our plan was to put back two in hope honestly that only one takes. However, Dr. Z feels I should put back all 3 because based on the quality of the frosties, there's less than a 1% chance they would all stick. However, that 1% chance still scares me a lot so we are debating it.
Insurance was already approved for another FET and this Saturday I go see him for this exam- forgot the name, not a water sono but something like it that starts with an H. Kind of scared for it.
After my next Period(just getting over my cycle now) so in a months time, I will go for baseline blood work and I will begin with estrogen, weekly monitoring and than a transfer date sometime after the 4th of July(their lab is closing for a week so he may need to keep me medicated an extra week).
That's the plan...soooo excited!!
to us all!
UPDATE:
My blood work came back crappy! I have high blood sugar and a low Vitamin D level. Dr. Z wants me to have a 2-hour glucose tolerance test and get treated for possible Type 2 Diabetes before proceeding. I guess this was a wake up call for me but I'm SO upset. He said IF I can get it under control perhaps I can move on in a couple of months but who really knows If it'll regulate that quickly. As for the low Vitamin D level, he's putting me on a once a week pill.
Does anyone know anyone with Type 2 Diabetes who didn't deliver a healthy baby due to this? I'm so scared!
Thanks for listening.

I am diabetic and have 2 beautiful girls. You should get it under control as best as you can before getting pregnant. You will be monitored very closely throughout the pregnancy - You will be fine!!!!
