Now a placenta problem-OMG GREAT UPDATE!
Hi everyone. I have made it to 27 weeks 4 days. After being admitted to the hospital at 24 weeks. Wanted to update you ladies. There has been a lot going on this past week. Baby B's bloodflow is elevated which actually means he's not getting enough blood flow. Doctors said that the placenta is not functioning correctly. They are going to be monitoring me three times a week with ultrasound starting next week. They are looking for two things: 1) adequate growth every two weeks and 2) that the diastatic flow doesn't go reverse. If either of those two things happen then they have to get the babies out. I told them I can't believe that this is happening with the other identical after losing baby c. Baby b might have IUGR just like baby c had so I'm praying that's not the case. I am fortunate to be at 27 1/2 weeks instead of 24, but I pray everything goes okay. I had a fetal echocardiogram done yesterday and they said the babies looked great it's just the placenta that's the problem. I have a growth check today so I'm hoping both babies are a little over 2 pounds today. Thank you for you love and support.
UPDATE: 5/12/17
Baby Bs fluid levels have finally gone under an 8 since baby Cs passing, and baby Bs blood flow went down from a 5.1 to a 4.72! It's still elevated but that's a better number!! Both baby A and baby B are measuring the same, 2 pounds each!!And guess what! They are sending me home today! I'm so nervous about that but they said I'm stable. So I'm going home. I have an ultrasound on Monday so if I need to come back then they will send me back to the hospital but as of right now The babies are stable and I can go home! What a Mother's Day gift!! Thank you all for your prayers and support! I will update soon! You all are so wonderful!!!

Re: Now a placenta problem
I am honestly stunned at all you have been through to have these babies. You are one strong lady.
I know how much it sucks to be stuck in the hospital, but thank goodness you are in the best place possible for them to catch these and any problems. Thank goodness you made it to 27 weeks! Your babies should be ok even if born now. That is an accomplishment and very reassuring!
We preemie moms are there for you too.

Now a placenta problem
I'm sorry for all you're going through and how scary it all must be. I dealt with iugr with dd2 but thankfully all our issues started later. She was born at 35.5 weeks and was just barely 4 pounds. She also had her own blood flow issues and had hemorrhaged a good amount before being born. Thankfully her size rally wasn't an issue and she's now a very healthy 2.5yo. I hope you get good measurements today and that those precious babies get to stay in as long as possible. Glad they are monitoring everything closely.

I'm glad they look good! Silver lining I guess! I'm so sorry about what you're going through though. You're in the right place. Saying lots of oysters that they can stay inside a while longer!!

If those boys have even an ounce of your strength they'll be just fine. Praying for you all.
